Yes, crazy strength. But ya know there is an awful lot of "supps" floating around that gym.  ;D

For sure. That Lilliebridge kid tried claiming, on MD forums, that he's only tried a few prohormones, never "real" steroids.  :D

Chris Hickson just has a deadlifters build. Like always, genetics come into play also.

Amazing pulls, nonetheless. However, some, as you say, just can yank a huge load. Two guys can have the same strength, but if one has good deadlifting genetics, he might be able to hoist two or more hundred pounds more than the other dude. Add in some juice ...

The thing is, though, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts some of these nut pullers will be in serious pain when they reach middle age. They have frames that are just not supposed to lift that much. Limit deadlifts always suffer in technique, of course, but these young guys are doing it repeatedly with gigantic poundage.

I have no idea how these guys can lift like that without throwing their backs out. I know they're young, but still- it is hard to believe they don't tweak something

They do tweak things constantly. It's just part of powerlifting.

What was Andy Bolton pulling at 19? That kid seems like he could be on that level in a few years.

Bro don't even go there, Getbig will eat you alive for this dumb comment, have you ever seen Gunter in his prime, ENORMOUS and lifts very light weight, 100's of examples if you wish. Vic Richards is the biggest Shit talker abd fraud in bodybuilding history and that fibo video was talked about for years, exactly my poinht why did no one ever talk about his lifts, oh except for your friend ::)

Goddamn, you're fuckin' dense. Comments like yours really piss me the fuck off. You know that ?? I've seen Gunter in person MANY times. Enormous ??? NOT FUCKIN' REALLY !! LOLOLOLOL !!! Sorry to burst your bubble, OTH. You can name 99 more examples ! I don't give a fuck ! What I'm referring to is the WAY Vic's muscles look in comparison to other bb'ers. He has the same look that J. O Jackson and Branch Warren have. The thick, strong, dense look. And you know exactly what I'm talking about, too. You compete for fuck's sake !

You need to sort out some of your personal issues with Vic. That's what I think. And I trust my friends, btw. Not only that, but I've heard QUITE a few stories from QUITE a few people about Vic in the old days. You obviously don't believe it because :

A. You just don't fuckin' want to

B. Because you're so use to the bullshit spewed here on GetBig

The people I KNOW don't make shit up just for shits and giggles ! FACT !

No go back to thinking our fellow members will roast me for my comments. And write me another reply rollin' your eyes a few more times. I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT. I don't post just to fuckin' post !

How do they keep lifting these weights then?

I injured my lower back doing bent over rows back in '04 and I could hardly train for 3 weeks after that

I tried to resume doing deadlifts for the first time in about 12-13 years a few months ago, I went up to 315, tweaked my back fairly badly and then decided I will never do squats or deadlifts ever again. I just train for recreation and personal fulfillment and I don't want a bad back to ruin other parts of my life, like going for hikes or playing basketball or pool

Make the lift a sport unto itself. Like, when it's deadlift day, give yourself time to evolve the lift to your heaviest weights. Instead of just scrambling to get to your heaviest sets, pace yourself and don't be afraid to allow several minutes to pass between each set. The deadlift is not an exercise to "pump" or any such thing.

For the first few sets, REALLY feel the stroke as you pull and lock in all that needs to be locked in.

I don't know if any of this makes sense. Hope it does.

Tomorrow I have a deadlift session... fifth last of my pre-meet sessions, actually.

Learn to fire your total muscularity in a tight pattern. Like a precise explosion.

 :)

The kid in the video tore a hamstring. Powrlifters always train with injuries.

I can't necessarily recommend it for anyone else but my personal solution to back pain is keeping deads or good mornings in my program. My back problems come on every time I stop deadlifting for a few weeks. I always seem to tweak it when getting away from those movements. Sure, I've thrown out my back many times doing deads too but I always get back to it as soon as I can. Is it smart? I don't know, but too late to stop now.  :D

I think hurting your lower back on something like bent over rows is much more likely if the lower back is weak.

For the past 4-5 years I've gone up to at least 300kg every week, many weeks several times a week. Now I haven't deadlifted for 3 weeks and can feel some mild sciatica. :-\ :D

To each his own! I've always enjoyed doing deadlifts. I think they are the best 1 exercise a person can do- so perhaps I should try to get back to them and build up gradually- I'll give it a thought- I'm just tired of injuring my lower back. I feel especially vulnerable doing heavy (for me) squats and deads, so I just stick to hacks, leg press, and all sorts of pull downs and rows for back

I think back in the Vc Richards won't have been lifting the crazy weights of today because that wasn't what guys did back then. But now days there's different drugs, and you're not a super mega beast unless you can press the 200s and squat 800-900, so I'm sure he made it his business to do the necessary drugs and training to lift those numbers at some point in the last 20 years.

I think I'm going to start gauging on whether I should up or lower the dose of Test E by reviewing my posts. Judging by my last post in this thread, I feel it somewhat obvious to LOWER the dose. LOLOLOLOL !!!

Sorry, OTM. Didn't mean to go nutso. My apologies, friend. :(

if we're talking about 4 weeks out condition (as vic always looked), Dennis James would clean house.
