His calves are awful but calves arent traditionally a big deal.

His arms are huge they just don't have great shape, they are far better than Dorians.

No,calves have absolutely nothing to do with aesthetics   which you constantly rail about , type some more ignorance , like I said you're more than willing to overlook it then it's not a flaw

His right calf is ok. Not great obviously, but good enough to not throw anything outta proportion. His left calf obviously has some kind of damage he can't do anyhting about (tear or nerval damage), it's not lacking cause he doesn't train em hard enough like some of these retards are babbling over and over again. Get over it, his left calf won't change anymore, nobody is perfect.

yes and i was not comparing their calves.. i just meant that coleman won the olympia 100 times with weak calves so wolf's calves are not the main or the only weak point (as someone mentioned) to prevent him from placing better!!..

and the judges ALWAYS make the best call, it said so in FLEX magazine (the bible).

Wolf dominates from the back for sure.

BS, Wolf is great from the front but look where his lats stop in the back double bi. Look at Kai "The Grapefruit" Greene and you will see a bb with a back that can approach that of Yates and Coleman if he can ever come in ripped and diced. Wolf is great and maybe should have got third at best. He difinitely beat Jay. I don't think he really has the shape to beat Kai. Plus, he was in great conditioning but when he posed he did not look as impressive as Phil. My buddy is an iFBB judge out of New Jersey and was at the show. He had Phil one all the way.

BTW...anyone who claims Wolf can't win because he is German is full of it. What the hell does that have to do with tea in China. Germans are great people; one of my best friend is German. Do we still have to apologize for slavery. Why should German's of today suffer and be denied because of the sins of our father....quote remind you of anyone. Besides, Wolf is actually a Russian who now is a German citizen. His heritage is Russian.

Nirvana, I think ND has a point about judging. I am not a judge, but for instance I though Flex Lewis looked better then English in the 202's. Priest probably would have eaten both of them for lunch but that is for another thread. ND likes Flex and Yates. He loves Ronnie circa 1999 and that is his opinion. Agree or not about who is better between Yates and Ronnie; the difference is but a fraction and probably would change day to day. Regardless, Phil looked the best this day. Deal with it. Wolf is very, very good. He looks way better then Branch in my opinion and should be top three or four in the world. However, he is lacking in some very crucial areas that are holding him back when comparing him to more complete bodybuilders.

Guys, if you are fans of the old 90's bodybuilders, on musculardevelopment.com they had a wrap up of the pre-judging with Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler. Shawn interviewed both Yates and Branch. Both were unanimous in agreement that Phil was by far the best. They even dissected the faults of Wolf. If it still on the website it is a cool listen. Yates is definitely the man. His insight into the show was quite revealing. They also did a post-wrap analysis of the Mr. Olympia.
