Who said Dorian 1997 was perfect or had no flaws? if you knew how contests were judged you would know exactly how Dorian can win with a perfect score , but you don't know how contests are judged so you'll just draw your own ignorant conclusion and be happy with that

i am sure they didnt mark him down because with a totally deformed arm he won these 2 rounds with perfect scores against the top bbs in the world!!.. aside of his calves and back the rest of him was worse than nearly all the other top pros.. sure we are not talking about parts but the symmetry and the proportion between his different parts were very bad and it was seriously one of the worst injustice in the history of bb.. i felt even bad for dorian himself to look like this!!..

and although i see nasser the one who deserved to win on that day i would have no problem if ray or levrone won!!..

You don't know if they didn't mark him down , you're assuming they didn't the perfect score has NOTHING to do with it , he could have lost those three poses and still win with a perfect score , this is a concept you can't seem to grasp , he may very well have been marked down you don't know.

trust me i understand well what you are saying.. my point is that like the judges who judged the olympia in 97 you cant or dont want to see dorian's lot of flaws on that day.. let's forget all about his deformed arm,.. his physique was not summetrical or proportioned from top to bottom.. relatively very small shoulders and arms.. bug belly... soft and torn quads and small for his calves.. why you always talk about nasser's soft back and never talked about how dorian's quads were soft in 97??..


if bb is not proportion and symmetry and shape (dorian missed all these 3) so what is it??.. size??.. even this dorian didn't carry it well on that day!!..

Ya know, I usually bash on Wolf but...this time, I think he finally looked like a contender.  I think he shoulda, coulda placed higher.  If Martinez could ever just hit that conditioning, it would change things...and Dexter also looked great.  But Wolf, if he keeps this up and manages to fill out where he needs to, really could be a contender.

I'm just blown away by what Heath brought on that stage though...although a fully ripped (and non injured) Cutler, in my book, could have won.  But Phil's just crazy, and only getting better.

I guess if you analyze individual body parts you can always find flaws. The thing I like about Wolf is the total package. The way he is put together. HIs stage presence. Standing alone or with the group he stands out. I don't think it's just because of his height or shoulder width because Freeman is very comparable but Tony doesn't shine through like Wolf does. Face it, there not only a lot of subjectivity in the sport but politics. I don't follow the sport that closely, just what I get from here, but as they were announcing the placings, I could pretty much, as I'm sure most you could also, determine the placings. Not necessarily by physique but by name recognition. If Jay wasn't Jay and this was his first O he wouldn't have made the top 5 but you knew it was always between Jay and Phil. Wolf was definitely on but he wasn't going to beat Kai. I was just pretty sure that he and Victor were interchangeable and wasn't exactly sure where  they put Dex.

Right now I think the most credible pro show is the Arnold. It's big enough to attract the top guys except the current Mr. O and there's not as much politics.

come on white guys, we all kow you want a tall pale skinned guy as mr olympia, but wolfs lats only take up 1/4 of his torso, his arms have shitty shape, no peak to the bicep and no roundness to the tricep (though they are huge arms), he has good sweep to his quads but he doesnt have any defintionor striationg down by his knees at the insertion points, ffrom the back his hams look thin...    he just cant place ahead of guys like victor phil and kai when they are on point, much better aesthetics.

BS, Wolf is great from the front but look where his lats stop in the back double bi. Look at Kai "The Grapefruit" Greene and you will see a bb with a back that can approach that of Yates and Coleman if he can ever come in ripped and diced. Wolf is great and maybe should have got third at best. He difinitely beat Jay. I don't think he really has the shape to beat Kai. Plus, he was in great conditioning but when he posed he did not look as impressive as Phil. My buddy is an iFBB judge out of New Jersey and was at the show. He had Phil one all the way.

Sometimes I wonder on the Dorian threads (wait, wasn't this one supposed to be about Wolf?) how many people are just looking at pictures and weren't even there the time Dorian was the man to beat.

He really was "all that". Despite the arm extremely dominant in his early years and in the latter, well, he still did what we could. Agreed on the point, though, that one should logically not get a perfect score with a torn bicep, just like I hope Dennis should not ever get one with his atrophied calf either.

Fortunately for him, Shawn and Flex were too small and too much the same year after year with no changes, Nasser too blocky and lacking a major bodypart. Kevin was the one true threat, he could at his best bring everything Dorian could and better.

Wolf wasnt close to being as dry or lean as he was in Columbus. He was bigger, but not better. I think he faded at the prejudging and Vic passed him. Victor ALWAYS gets harder and drier the more he poses.

I don't like Jay's physique , I would never want to look like him , but if you knew how contests were judged then you'd understand why he wins , you can bitch & moan about what should happen , what could happen , I deal with what did happen.
