Phil is better
flex has no calve , no forearms , not enough dry and his usage of oil kill his credibility I mean oil visible to the naked eye
Personally I dont care if phil put oil in his arms , his arms are hard and great separation we can blame it

Aesthetics yes, balance no.

Lacked quad size to match his arms and had a small torso as well as underdeveloped calves and no forearms.

nasser did http://hugenasser.com/interview/flex-interview-1997 (amongst other things)

tbh i always preferred the lighter weight, early 90's flex look to just about any other look. wasnt a fan once he started inflating, but the 'sport' is what it is.

First do not judge bodybuilders by the pics. Videos are much better for comparison.

Judges loved Flex's physique. He dominated everybody when he was on(except the two guys you know) and when he wasn't 100% he still won many of the shows he entered.

It's really hard to put Phil on 90s lineup. He has so many visible flaws(small chest, legs don't match his upper body, crappy midsection). He has good poses like bdb but on the other hand his front lat spread looks like shit. It's even harder to judge because Phil has a ton of muscle and he's in good condition too.

You just contradicted yourself.
You said that Flex's usage of oil kills his cred, but you don't care if Phil put oil in his arms...WTF...

And yeah, flex had detailed calves at one point...
Flex at 218 was 2nd his first Mr. O, won his first 4 Pro shows...Phil had to gain size in order to best Jay...no way could he come in at 218 and win or come in 2nd place...Flex had a claimed 26-27 inch waist back in those days...and at the 93 Mr. O, his waist was smaller than Shawn's or Lebrada, who was around 205 and 180ish, respectively.

Flex has more seperation, and detail, his only flashes where the 93, 97, 98, and 99...
Had Flex not had that car accident, we might not be talking about Ronnie or Phil.

No way was Flex's waist 26 parker, i have a 27-28 inch waist and my lower back is less developed than Flex.

He had better lines than Phil did and could compete at a lower bodyweight because of that, but he had his weaknesses. Overall Flex has better genetics than Phil, as you said Phil had to really bulk to balance out his weaknesses.

28-29 fantastic lines. Most people 32 say 30 et cetera.

Far better than Phils genetics imo.

Flex is a pure ectomorph and his bone and muscle structure is like that of Brian Buchanan...small wrists, ankles, knees, and waist...which part of the reason why his round muscle bellies looked fuller...
Flex was competing at 198 at the height of 5'10, back in 89 or 90 (not surre about 91),
and won his Pro car at 215 in 92, and the Arnold at 216...most guys at his height were pushing 240-250 at the time...

I'll  give him 27, but not 26...

Probably more like 28 29....do you know how small a 26 inch waist is ?  No way in fucking hell a 225 lb man has a 26 or 27 inch waist...that would be a small waist on a 125 pound female....you guys really need to stop believing the horseshit in the muscle comics

I agree about the 27" at 225lbs , Brian Buchanan said his waist in top shape was 27" at just 210lbs which is abnormally small

But you really have to take what Flex says with a massive grain of salt , the guys word is suspect on most things

When I said 26, I was actually thinking "Melvin Anthony", he's the one claimed 26...
Flex has stated 27, several times---although, he told Arnold that he had 22.5 inch arms at the 93 Arnold Classic---at at bodyweight of 216, yeah right...
