In my own opinion -
King was perhaps a little TOO subdued in his commentary. But that's good. Room to grow. You aren't going to find 5 names in the history of the sport that will attract more 25-35 year old BBing fans than King Kamali.
It was better for him to be a tad quiet on the webcast, than to be jumping up and down talking over everyone. King and I used to hate each other, and then worked together, and what I can say is that he's very cool and relaxed lately. Maybe having a baby settled him down (just like it did for me around the same time period).
But yeah, King's not a dick. he's a good sport and has a sense of humor and is just like the rest of us, out there trying to make that dollar. I think he has a pretty good future as an MC to be honest. Work on a few little things, but really - his name as the emcee on a show will get more asses on the seats for an NPC local show than will with 170 pound twits in posing trunks.
