YUP...I remember he was in his 50's...then a few years later he's in his 70's.  ::)

Well muscle memory has his date of birth as july 14 1938,so he would have been 51 in that show.He placed 7th in that NOC,later in the year he trained at our gym 1 day before the grand prix and did just dumbell bench for chest.He started with the 10lbs and did 10 reps,60 secs rest then kept moving up the rack all the way to the 150s for 10,all together we had 18 pairs of dumbells on the rack and he did a set of 10 with all of them.

Wow,Albert looks great there with Ric.Until i saw him train i never thought of him as a strong guy,along the likes of Bertil,but seeing him do these d/bell benches,while on a contest diet just blew me away.Can you imagine the pump as you get up to the 100s,110s,120s and so on.I`m convinced that in the off season and doing low reps in the 5-6 range on the barbell Albert could have easily done a 500lb bench.
