phil has a great back,one of the best currently onstage,jay in shape had just as good a back if not better,as far as all time here is who all beats him as far as back goes,ronnie coleman,dorian yates,mike francois,jean pierre fux,shawn ray,flex wheeler,momo benezenia,lee haney,samir bannout,franco columbo, and i might have missed a couple,al beckles and mike christian are close but phil does have em.

Jay's back is thick, but it never had the detail or completeness of Phil's. Vic's is wider, but same thing, it lacks the density of Heath's. Kai's back is always soft, so who really knows what it could look like.

Phil has the best back currently, but to compare him to Doz and Ronnie.....c'mon now....lets wait 5 years or so before doing that.

I hate Jay's and Wolf's back....it looks like it just disappears halfway down....and below that is just.....nothing.  High inserting lats is a killer  :-\

At one point, 2005, Vic had one of the most complete backs on the scene...I remember in his DVD him showing his famous Md cover with that highly detailed and thick back.
