you are looking at it from a different perspective....Gated communities are not gated for safety. they are gated for privacy, snob appeal and to keep solicitors from hanging shit on your door. they are usually located in a nice community, and they are even nicer

you don't have to be rich here...but they aren't cheap.  and the "security force" isn't a SWAT team..it's couple of dudes in golf carts that keep kids from fucking shit up.  it's the Suburbs....upscale but not super rich. Strip malls on every other corner, clean streets and low crime

Someone asked me if I got children and the answer to that question is no. But I have worked with children quite a lot and I can imagine that the sense of responsibility you get when the safety of a child is in your hands gets magnified hundred fold if the kid is your own. Caring for your offspring(or any defenseless creature!) is an extremely strong instinct. So in that sense I don't blame you guys for being trigger happy although I don't wish death upon anyone unless they really have it coming.

So I think we're on the same page but just reading it from different perspectives... Be safe!

ive had my ass whooped a lot.  lot of famiy drug stuff.  Cousin's date killed in a push-in home invasion.  Family full of drugs and crime and jail.  My brother shot a guy, my other brother stabbed a guy.  One went to prison, one didn't.   I was an elementary teacher who moved the hell away from it.

Not pretty and not anything to be proud of.

Did it make me a non-trusting MFer?  Sure.  has it saved my skin at least once?  Yes.  Probably more, because I don't smell like prey, I act like a predator.

We all get that you can leave when you want...but, when you start having to lock this, gate that, etc...you make your own prison...it becomes a slippery slope...it ain't about being deep, the only deepness is when you get to the bottom of the slope.

For home defense nothing really beats a good shotgun. With a tube extension you get more capacity and different loads make it very versatile.

These are absolutely awesome if you can get them tuned in correctly. In might take a little bit of money to make them run perfect but holy shit you can take out a small army with one of these.

I don't have enough rounds through to really tell, also, sometimes it has cycling issues.   I prefer a regular pump.
