I don't think that's what 240 means.  I think he's pointing out the hypocrisy of the right under Bush to act like nothing was wrong when shit like Bush breaking the law to go to war with Iraq was exposed from so many angles, but when it's the guy they don't like in the whitehouse, all hell breaks loose.

I too find that to be pretty shitty.

In a few years, when it's a republican in office and something like that happens, the left will freak out and you'll be asking why they didn't give a shit about fast and furious.

It would be better if people just called out shit like this no matter who they voted for.

Skip's Rule No. 11 doesn't say you attempt to justify current misconduct by pointing to past misconduct by others.  (Although people do that all the time.)  It says you simply point to wrongdoing by the other side.  That's exactly what you did.
