I don't even read ubermans posts anymore my mind is just set to ignore the post when i see the jesus avatar. His psycological evaluation rants are about as interesting as Failcans bullshit posts about his new diets, aliens or what ever.

Take caffeine to wake up and work, take steroids to feel powerful and get bigger muscles, take anti depressants when you cant deal with your past or tough relationships with loved ones, take energizing drinks and beers to socialize, smoke to calm yourself, take cialis/viagra pills to fuck, take sleep pills to sleep... Get a lipo, a rinhoplasty, a boob job, inject collagen when you re getting old...

I want to be young forever, to care only about myself forever, i dont want to die ! and face the truth.

Definitely, abandonning God , having no faith made a lot of people rich.
I take Anti-depressant medications because i have SEVERE DEPRESSION from MENTAL ILLNESS'.......NOT BECAUSE I I CANT DEAL WITH MY PAST, HAVE A BAD RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS........Nor do i take medication because i cant handle EVERYDAY LIFE, again..... I take Medications because i have mental illness'.............

OCD, PANIC DISORDER, AGORAPHOBIA, SOCIAL ANXIETY, DEPERSONALIZATION, BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER, AVOIDANT PERSONALITY, MAJOR DEPRESSION, AND PYSHCOSIS. Those are the reasons why i take medication, AND I HAVE FAITH IN GOD.

No, I'm tryin to say that being religious gives you stability and something to rely on when times are bad, and that reality's a bitch. Don't call me names, it will not increase your credibility..
Being " spirtual " is GOOD. Being EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS, to where you have that " holier than thou " attitude/demeanor and basically condemn/judge others for not being religious, or not being part of the " catholic/christian " religions. Pff.......its funny how if someone is not a CHRISTIAN/CATHOLIC, they automatically get labeled an ATHEIST. RELIGION is all about CONFORMITY, conforming to a WORLDLY RELIGION such as catholicism, christianity and thier BELIEFS. Im an ATHEIST.........not towards GOD, or in other words " a higher power ". Im an ATHEIST towards WORLDLY RELIGIONS, such as CATHOLICISM, CHRISTIANITY.

Trazodone is prescribed a lot for sleeping in the US and UK. In Holland and Germany almost nil. Personally I think Mirtazapine (remeron) is safer and as least as good. But if it works for you, great.

I have been taking Trazodone off and on for 3 years now, it doesn't help much but it is the only medication that helps at all...but other than that, there is NO solution for chronic insomnia and people who pretend there is are full of shit, if you have it, all you can do is deal with it.

This is true I'm afraid... sometimes when people accept it, sleep will improve in time. I used to sleep badly from childhood up to about 30. Then it somehow changed, now I sleep like a baby. Can't explain.

That's the problem, there is no explanation and doctors are in the dark about the causes of insomnia, most likely because there are so many. The worst things are sleep studies, where they hook you up to 10,000 wires and 'monitor' your sleep, only with all those wires it's even more uncomfortable to get to sleep and my nocturia was even worse, total waste of time and didn't get a wink of sleep. But there are guidelines; I try to go to bed before 3 am, try to stop drinking liquids after 6 pm, etc. But yeah, you just accept it, once you do you stop wondering what it would be like to be normal.

25-50mg. I take capsules now, so 50mg just before bed. If it is really, really bad I will up it to 100mg but never for more than one night because after 50mg the sides the next day are very noticeable.

Not trying to be an ass, but what kind of work have you done that was VERY physically demanding?  Not talking about a work-out at the gym or yard work, but just a really physically tough job.... when I did that type of labor for a short time I slept like a baby..... course i've never had any sleep problems to speak of...but I often wonder if a lot of it just the lifestyles we lead now with being sedentary, etc...

OK, but if you got an office job you can't do physically demanding work for 8 hours a day right ?

Oh, I agree.  I was just curious, as many of the people I've talked to have very sedentary jobs that have sleep problems.  I worked construction for a little while....and trust me, you don't run into construction job guys with insomnia very often...

Do you workout in the evenings?  I have a hard time falling asleep regardless but I find that I have an especially hard time if I've done a workout within a couple hours of trying to go to bed.

Yup. Most anti-depressant sleeps aids have " hangover effects " the next morning/day. 150 mg did that too me for a while, but my body got use to it.

That's what I wrote, it depends tremendously. After a hard workout, I take a quick shower and almost fall asleep before I reach the bedroom... :D

Sometimes I wonder if having insomnia as an adult is the extension of not wanting to go to sleep as a kid. I hated it when I was told to go to bed. Now I'm happy if I can get in early. Maybe the bad sleepers are extended kids in this matter.......just talking out of my ass.. ;D ;D ;D

Instead of looking for serious answers to serious real life troubles on getbig, and even if some people actually sometimes give useful infos, go hit the psychology shelves of your local library and get an oecumenial traduction of the Bible transcripted from hebraic and grec originals. It just requires time well spent, and very little money and should help you more than asking people who are as lost as you most of the time -if not more-, help. Especially on a bodybuilding messageboard. If only people took as much care of their soul as they take care of their appearance... A healthy soul in a healthy body... Life , hapiness, love, are about balance. And the right path is the path of God.

So many people attempting to have the perfect appearance and going for the extremes , taking steroids , diuertics, who want to feel, act, perfectly, constantly -to become...god themselves? no human can! - using drugs all day long, who are simultaneously the most underdevelopped  psychologycally, intellectually and spiritually speaking individuals.

On a side note a recent study proves that consuming anti depressants and sleeping aids for years if not decades might be the reason why... the very same people get alzheimer s disease...Yep, you got it, another ''ilness'' we created..ourselves.

We were born with everything we need to face life. People need drugs for everything nowadays because they werent loved enough and cant love or be loved anymore. Artificially enhanced ''robots''/ ''animals'' with ...no faith... and who want to kill each others behind their fake smiles because they cant love themselves or each others anymore. Murdering God equals to murdering hapiness and love, life itself . Lesson learnt. For some.

No more love , no more faith, and a lot of pills that prevent you from thinking, and who give you man made diseases ultimately.

Again we re all born with all the necessary biological equipment to give or receive love. Where does the difference lies between individuals? In the amounts of genuine , healthy  love we received, or didnt receive, from our caregivers.

Uberman is a bit extreme on some subjects, but I agree on his views on 'a no drugs' lifestyle.

I personally never take pills or drugs of any kind, the last time in years i took something were some painkillers for a bad tooth problem.
