I'm doing industrial engineering, if our system lacks efficiency, and we need people like me to compete with asia, I'm pretty sure I'm safe with zero debt. Anyhow if things get bad at all my parents can bail me out or I can goto asia. Truth hurts don't it

absolutely wont. but it can create a system where the poor have access to a quality education that will allow them to get a good job without surmounting huge debt in the process. and it can decrease , almost elminate, global poverty and hunger.  we will never be able to create a utopia, thats for sure... but that doesnt mean we shouldnt try to work towards that direction.
