Watch the Sonny Chiba movie "Streetfighter" for the technique used to produce this state.  :)

And here I was positive you were going to chime in about your experiences being pronounced clinically dead. :(

show me the scientific evidence that a human being's brain didn't receive oxygen for 40 minutes, and they didn't sustain any damage.

anyone?

Just listen to or read anything by any liberal.  There's proof enough that you can be nigh on brain dead and still function just above zombie level. ;D ;D

Anna Bågenholm, who in 1999, was submerged for over an hour in frigid waters. After she was removed from the water, she had no pulse, she wasn't breathing and she was pretty much frozen solid - her core body temperature was below 15 degrees.

She was successfully resuscitated, although she has suffered some nerve damage that limits the use of her hands. Still quite remarkable and a testament to the resiliency of the human body.

He was dead for 40min, pronounced dead...dead as a door nail, gone.

Coach, if you read anything to do with science, you would know that what actually constitutes true "death" is still disputed in the scientific community.

Coach, I would also like to add that just because something cant be explained it doesnt mean its Gods work. This argument is called "God of the gaps" Whenever there is a gap in understanding, there is a need to insert a divine explanation. However, there were many things we didnt know hundreds of years ago that we finally figured out without the use of God.

Sorry Coach, just because it cant be explained it doesnt mean God is the answer. that is very poor logic and not the way to argue a valid point.

a miracle is defined as a suspension of natural law (law of physics, etc)

if event X occurred on earth, it had to therefore abide with natural law in order for it to happen

So returning back to life (assuming its true) is thereby permissible under natural law

So there was no suspension of natural law

There was no miracle

 ???

lol owned.

I believe there have been instances where corpses in morgues have returned to life. There are also instances where scratches were found on the underside of coffin lids!

So perhaps some people might have no signs of life and are pronounced dead by doctors but are still alive in some unusual sense. Occasionally some of these 'dead' people come back to life.

It's behind you, it's behind me, it's in all of us watching from every perspective. It's timeless consciousness. Empty your mind of thought and stop thinking, stop talking. When you take time to shut your mind off, and just live in the moment, you'll see that we're all the same thing. We're just consciousness wrapped in another random individual genetic makeup. If you're reading this, you should understand that you're no different than me, i'm no different than you. If you can't understand that, think about it until you get it (or quit thinking until you get it). If you missed that you've either asserted your own reality, missed the true nature it, or both. You're immersed in the universe like a fish is immersed in the sea. It's all the same thing, all one. Why is that so hard to see? We're all a part of it. We awoke as consciousness, and we can't awake as nothing. We sleep and our consciousness drifts away. Now we don't take our body with us when we drift away. It's where you left it. You saw all those dreams go by didn't you? Or was that your consciousness viewing the dream? It certainly wasn't your eyes that saw it, yet you still saw it? Weird. Maybe there's more going on than this physical plane of awareness?

If you just quit cherishing opinions you'll see nothing but truth. Everything is as it is. When you start thinking about anything, you stray farther from the truth. People were once convinced the earth was flat. If we get ourselves stuck in any belief we're opening ourselves up to prejudice. It's the formless mind that can take any form. When you've formed beliefs there's very limited form to be taken. If you can keep your cup empty, it can easily be filled. Unless you've already filled it with strange beliefs.
