There is a famous case back in 1971 at the NABBA Professional Mr Universe contest where Bill Pearl was placed ahead of Sergio Oliva. The French judge who was a respected Physical Culture professor put Sergio second because his head was too small for his body!!! Guys like Ray and Ricky were huge guys. Arthur Jones measured Ray's arm at 20 1/4 inches. Only Sergio was up there over 20 according to Arthur. Judges don't put you down but you just don't look as big because of that larger head. The best example of that was a guy named Billy Parker from those days. Good build but never placed high. |
