RPaul is right about the biggest issue - overeextending ourselves globally with miliary and aid.

you cut that, and many problems domestically end.

james, I'm sure there is no canddiate that you agree with 100% of the time.  You choose the one you think will help america the most. I pick ron paul.  Who do you pick?

Ron Paul is the exact opposite of Obama, yet you have been knee padding Obama non stop on here, or at least heavily until recently. And now all the sudden, you are for the exact opposite?

180, you are a joke now, honestly.

Ron Paul is the exact opposite of Obama, yet you have been knee padding Obama non stop on here, or at least heavily until about 6 months ago. And now all the sudden, you are for the exact opposite?

I agree with obama on some things, sure.  I disagree with repubs on some issues.  Definitely.  Nobody is 100% in agreement with the extremists on either side, unless they're an extremist too.

I feel that RPaul would end the empire mindset... being home the troops, build up american business, and turn us back into a powerhouse.

Obama, mittens, and others are rearranging dek furniture on the titanic.  Ron Paul would turn the boat around before it hits the iceberg.  I disagree with many of his policies and beliefs - but turning that damn boat around before we hit the iceberg that Mitt and Obama are running at full speed ahead at...

to me, that's why ron paul is the captain I want.

You didnt answer - who is your candidate, james?

Obama "ain't built" to be working on the ship (and it now shows)... yet you have knee padded for him as our Captain for the last 3 years...

Last week, the Washington Post attacked Marco Rubio for “misrepresenting” his family’s story. The Post got called out by other newspapers for the Post’s egregious truth stretching to make its story fit. In the quotes the Washington Post cited, the reporter misrepresented the context of Marco Rubio’s remarks. It was true that Rubio had gotten some details wrong. But it was also very clear that they were the innocent mistakes of a son retelling his parents’ story. It was also true the Washington Post got parts of its reporting wrong.

But the Washington Post has not stopped. Now the paper is back at it premising a new article on the last story without nothing the Washington Post itself got key elements of its story wrong. This time, the Washington Post wants to make the case that Marco Rubio could be a risky Vice Presidential pick for the GOP.

Seriously.

We have a President of the United States who, for twenty years, worshiped in Jeremiah Wright’s church, had his house paid for by Tony Rezko, claimed his uncle freed Jews at Auschwitz, snorted cocaine, and got other key biographical details wrong and the Washington Post never seemed to think he was too risky.

The other angle of attack in the Washington Post is defending Univision’s smear of Rubio’s family. Marco Rubio refused to do an interview with the very liberal leaning network. After Rubio refused to do the interview, Univision ran a report on Marco Rubio’s brother-in-law being arrested 24 years ago for drug trafficking. Univision denies a connection and argues about the time line.

But somehow, according to the Washington Post, these two incidents make Rubio risky. There really is more of a story here than the Washington Post lets on.

Everyone knows that despite Rubio’s denials he is every Republican’s first choice for Vice President. The left cannot abide the first Hispanic Vice Presidential candidate being a Republican. The Democrats expect to have the black vote locked up in 2012 and they want the Hispanic vote locked up too. That would be made more difficult with Rubio on the Republican ticket.

So the left is using the Washington Post to attack Rubio now, just as the Obama Administration has begun attacking Mitt Romney now. The calculus is that Romney will be the nominee and Rubio the veep pick. Consequently, the left is on the attack now trying to damage Rubio’s reputation as much as possible. CNN reports the Democrats even have a PAC run by a former Harry Reid staffer engaged in this.

The Democrats are deathly afraid of what Marco Rubio as the GOP’s Vice Presidential nominee could do to Obama’s re-election chances and the long term fortunes of the Democrats within the Hispanic community. The Washington Post is running the Democrats’ attacks for them as part of the left.

Each attack shows just how scared of Marco Rubio the Democrats really are.

And they should be.

Don't know much about Rubio, but this is one dumb non-issue.  Liberal hacks really do latch on to some real stupid stuff trying to attack any conservative who might be a threat.

What the GOP needs is a clear contrast to Obama and his pro capitalist policies. I recommend bribing Hugo Chavez with an offer of citizenship and a constitutional dictator for life amendment if he defeats Obama in 2012. Put Chavez and Alec Baldwin as Prez and VP= Easy GOP victory in 2012

the only defense for Rubio lying is, "here are ten things worse about obama".

That's like me running over an old lady at a crosswalk while driving drunk, and actually trying to tell the judge it's okay because another drunk driver killed a family of 7, and that there's really no point addressing my actions.

Rpaul always lets the US Constitution get in the way of his emotion.

I think if Obama was drone bombing 10 americans each day, more ppl would come around to Rpaul's way of thinking.

But just a few, no worries.

This is true....strict constitutionalists just seem to be very technical and inflexible.....this is why RP never gets the votes when it comes to actually voting...he's like your visiting uncle who still makes all his life decisions based upon what he learned in the 1930's

The problem is that once you 'bend' the constitution - it's already broken.

if RPaul lets obama kill ONE american without trial or legal procedings, then he endorses Obama killing 100 Americans each day, as he sees fit without any legal proceedings.  Whoever this bad guy was - He was at the pentagon in the days before 911, remember?  ;)

I'm kind of lost on this whole Rubio thing. You can find signs of the Cuban revolution as early as 1952 but because some reporter with a history of lying said it was 1959 we have to take it as so?

In other news, politicians lie and the sky is blue.

In other news, who gives a fuck?

they said they fled castro.  but they left 3 years before castro took over.

then, it appears they went back to make those dollars, when catro was there, coming and going freely.

Sounds like they were upper class connected higher-ups, which is cool - but he sure shouldn't be telling a story about them being exiles, fleeing the evil castro.  He was playing the victim to get that FL hispanic vote.

Trouble is, in 2006, he told his story the OTHER way, admitting they left before castro came into power.

I wont rest until obama is deported to Kenya where he was born and belongs along with his grifter family w Aunt Zeituni, Uncle Omar, etc.   And he can take that mess of sasquatch wife and his two kids with him.
