Gary's still got full and long triceps. Amazing, seeing as how SO many aging pro bodybuilders have lost almost all the meat on the backs of their arms. Don't know why, but it's true.

Strydom is awesome and, as I have said, I once enjoyed a meal and afternoon with the man while I was in Venice. He was very personable and friendly.

And, at that time, HUGE. Roughly 285 and VERY well conditioned. His frigging legs were gigantic and thick as redwoods.

We ate at The Firehouse and I recall him ordering more food every 15 minutes or so. His bill was something ridiculous and this was lunch (ha, ha). He was doing really well with his clothing line.

Great champion and nice fella.

I don`t think those pics are of Gary......they look more like pics of body1991 IMO.

Possibly, but I think it has more to do with some type of nerve damage/muscle damage that is facilitated through excessive drug usage. A great many of the big guys simply appear to have torn their triceps and then, years later, appear to lose all the mass.

Ferrigno is a prime example. ZERO triceps mass.

I believe it's but one element of what many now refer to as "Palumboism".

Too many folks trashing on Gary for his 'do. It was, like, 25 years ago that he opted to get a weave or whatever (wig?).

(As a funny tidbit, remember when Mike Quinn threatened to rip Strydom's wig off on stage?! LOL)

No man likes to go bald early (relatively) in his life. I now shave my dome because I refuse to have the George Costanza look. Anyway ...

Gary looks just fine (no homo).

Remember his cute-as-all-hell wife, way, way back? What was her name? You can see her in some of those old classic clips to be found on YouTube.

True.  But choices have consequences: wear a wig and people will mock you.  Wear it forever and people will mock you forever. ;D  We all get being vain and narssisitic; we are all bodybuilders or wannabes, but even in this world, you can cross a line that makes you the object of derision.  Implants/fake muscles, wigs, puss leaking out of your shoulders at a contest, etc. Gary was/is a handsome guy, phenomenal physique, nice person, etc.  But wear an obvious wig and people will mock you.  Especially people on anonymous message boards.  ::)

Seriously though, great arms and you can tell he still loves what he does but in that first pic he looks about 75..
