Here's what the Godless left stands for......

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Poor sanitation and evidence of lice and fleas at the Occupy San Francisco encampment endanger the health of everyone in the overcrowded, makeshift tent city at Justin Herman Plaza, public health officials said Wednesday.

“Everybody that’s been down there knows it has to change,” said Dr. Tomas Aragon, a public health officer who has been conducting inspections twice a day at the Occupy SF protest.

KCBS’ Barbara Taylor Reports:
SF City Officials Fear Disease Will Spread At Occupy Encampment

Aragon said the lack of sanitation and food safety, combined with the large quantities of debris in very tight quarters, made the Occupy encampment a tinder box for gastrointestinal and respiratory infections.

“Whenever you bring a group of people together, they’re going to bring whatever they have on them,” he said. “Although we have not detected an outbreak, we did identify one person, for example, that had lice.”

Some Occupiers have cooperated with efforts such as the one by the SPCA to identify potentially deadly canine infections such as parvovirus.

On the other hand, some of the chronically homeless in the camp have mental health problems, including substance abuse, that have contributed to a culture of lawlessness, said Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White.

“We’ve seen fist fights. There’s been acts of violence,” she said, problems that only appear to be growing. “There’s too many people living in an environment that you’re not really supposed to occupy and live in.”

Aragon and Hayes-White have recommended the encampment be pared down, if not dismantled entirely before a serious outbreak of disease occurs.

KCBS’ Chris Filippi Reports:
SF Occupiers Say They Have No Plans To Leave

City officials have pressed the demonstrators to put more space between tents and not put up large tarps. After a meeting Wednesday between Occupy SF organizers and Mayor Ed Lee, some campers seemed ready for change.

“Being able to spread out our tents and take down tarps,” said Christopher Rey, one of the Occupiers, would “get rid of a shanty town and put up the protest” they had originally intended.

As the nights have cooled, the camp has gotten somewhat smaller. But those who remain said they have no plans to leave despite the possibility that a police raid could happen at any moment.

Not to mention the outbreak of scabies, TB people shitting (literally) all over the place and cop cars and not to mention shithead Obama doing nothing to control his own people. Great freaking comparison there mindspin!!

Oh, forgot to mention, the Christian right wants to impose their religious views on the rest of us and force us all to become god fearing, Mexican hating, little boy molesting bible thumpers.

The Democratic Left...

...stands for:

What the so-called Christian Right does the Left does far better.  Look at the biggest shitholes in the country..Baltimore, Detroit, LA, Newark, Philly, etc.....all under complete Democratic leadership.

Racism - the KKK, Bull Connor, George Wallace, Orville Faubus...Democrats all.  Under Democratic leadership, there are more blacks in prison than ever before, and neighborhoods all across the nation live in shitty reservations ghetto-like conditions.  The Left is THE defacto party of racism.

Reducing women's rights - the Left embraces and encourages Islam.

Destroying the Environment - the Left has its hands dirty in this.  The Democratic party has let millions of manufacturing jobs go overseas to China and India where factories belch out mass quantities of choking smoke without regulations.

Infringment on personal rights - Dems have the lions share in this one, wanting to take more of your money, take your guns, take your rights away.

If someone can not see that this is a case of shit v. shit, then I don't know what does.

Almost everything the right does, the left does.

One just uses "personal freedoms" to do it, and the other uses "welfare of the nation" to do it.

Arguing one side versus another is ridiculous.

there are some very real differences between the two parties

the right believes in the free market, they dont like government regulations of business nor do they like government assistance to individuals. based on the economic concepts of 'dead weight loss' and 'disincentivization' they see taxation and regulation as inherently bad for the economy and financial aid to the poor as an ineffective way to promote their prosperity. they have some strong arguments in this regard. taxation and regulation DO weigh down the economy- to a degree- at least when the economy is in the hands of private entities. and entitlements do disincentivize people from working harder- to a degree.  they also argue these points from a standpoint that one reaps what they sow, and that if someone is unproductive they have no right to consumption. they have a very strong argument in this regard.

the left believes in regulating business and in giving aid to those who need it.  they believe that business is unable to regulate itself in a responsible way and that if left to their own devices private enterprise will take advantage of employees and consumers and run their operations with heavy pollution and misuse of natural resources. this is true. they also do not believe in letting a poor person suffer from a poor standard of living when the government has the means f providing them with better.

the right believes that people ought to be forced into behaving in "moral" ways in their personal lives. they believe this is essential for society to remain functional and productive. they do not want to see people become corrupted, they encourage religiousness and conservativeness.

the left believes that a persons personal choices are their own, and whether or not they are self destructive is not of the governments concern.

there are numerous other issues but these are the two main- economic and social.  both sides have strong arguments. however, in the grand scheme of things, the left has a slight advantage. for reasons i dont feel like expanding on right now as im a tad bit drunk, sitting in my gf's living room, about to goo out to dinner, just got back from a presentation on global pverty , microfinance, and research in the areas and im really a bit worn out on the whole intellectual thing right now.  but i will respond in the future if someone would like to converse on the subject

yes and no

democrats  like to "control" the world of economics to the degree that they want to tax and regulate business in such a manner as to ensure responsibility and fairness and to fund social welfare programs. another way they could be said to be "controlling" is in the realm of "parents rights", which is how the conservatives would frame the issue, democrats believe that a parent does not have the right to raise their child in a way that will set that child up for hardship down the road. conservatives would say this is completely the parents decision unless the actons of the parents are directly abusive to the child. democrats would see things like overfeeding, overworking, indoctrinating cultish religious beliefs, medical procedures which have long lasting and potentially undesirable effects (example=circumcision) to be things parents should not be allowed to do.  these would be jusitified by democrats as protecting the rights of the not yet mature child to be able to make those decisions on their own once theyve grown. conservatives just see it as the government overstepping their bounds and getting between a parent and their kid.

republicans like to control peoples social and private lives and behaviors they deem to be contradictory to traditional moral beliefs. they usually go by religious fundamentals and try to ban things which they feel are patently profane, blasphemous, or socially/morally destructive. they believe that even though these are personal decisions at the core they fundamentally effect the way society operates and influences the rest of the community in a profoundly negative way. democrats would argue that even though some personal decisions do carry the potential to negatively effect the lives of othe rpeople they only carry that potential indirectly, and you can not hold someone liable for the recpetiveness of other people to their bad decisions. also, its been proven time and time again prohibitions are ineffective.

they are very real differences
