Not sure what the US cost is, but up here in Canada the loaded Boss (non laguna Seca) MSRP's for around $52,000.  Some delaers are juicing the MSRP's on the Lagunas a bit.

If that's the case, then you are looking at upwards of 60,000 for the LS I'm sure. That's close to GTR range as well as Corvette Z06 range here in the US.

It's relative... If you can get the LS for under 50K US, then sure... it's a great deal.

Up here we pay way more than that for GTR's and Z06's, even when our dollar is at par.  We're just lucky that way

The GTR MSRP is around 90K, but I've seen people get them for 75.

The Z06 is 75K MSRP, but I've seen people get into them for 65K.

It's it's definitely dependent of a few things.

But you're right, at 60K even, it's not a bad deal.

I like the Boss, but personally would never get the Laguna Seca, as I hate the color schemes.

Sorry man but NOTHING shits on the American big block. Not even the Lamborghini V12 which makes me melt at the knees.

It's all subjective. Those cars do nothing for me. I'm more about refinement, high rev, sophisticated engineering. Anyone can stuff a big motor and go fast in a striaght line. There's more to a car than that. Thats my preference.

But American cars of today for the most part have improved and are different like the caddys and the srt8 300c, but you can see the European influence. From a whole "car," standpoint euros/germans build a better car. They built an "overall," better car. You just got to drive them to understand that everything feels right. From the chassis, suspension, to steering, they are perfect. You just gotta be a car guy. I don't feel American cars, sure cars like 302 boss, zo6, acr vipers can lap laps fast, but they don't "feel" right to me. Hard to explain.

Euros > American

Euros are all in one, like an athlete in a classy suit!

I agree except for the Caddy and the ZR1.

Those cars are absolutely on part with anything put out by the Euros or Japanese

That's why I said caddy and zo6. You can say zr1. Like I said whether caddy admits it or not it's euro influenced. Give me twin turbo e63 or new f10 m5 any day. Yes, they are great cars but I guess they aren't "classy" enough lol  ;D

I agree with you about performance, but I dont understand how being behind the wheel of a 700 or 800hp big block V8 does nothing for you. Germans and Italians do build some very formidable cars and always take the cake in the general performance department but nothing beats the exhilaration of what I just mentioned. Theres really no other experience like it.

Absolutely! The CTS-V and the ZR1 are both great cars. It's great to see American manufacturers finally producing appealing cars again instead or just putting out barges with engines borrowed from trucks; I hope they keep this up.

The only "fault" I find with the CTS-V and the ZR-1 is the same fault I find with the M3 and many similar cars: there's so many plain CTSs, 'Vettes and 328s driving around that they end up losing their distinctiveness. I don't mean that the cars won't turn heads because whether they do or not is irrelevant; it's not my concern. They just end up feeling "common" and they really shouldn't, because they're stellar cars.
