NC - LSU vs...
« on: December 04, 2011, 09:36:08 AM »
Alabama - Does anyone want to see a low scoring rerun?  Looks like an under 25 game

OSU - LSU offense can be anemic, and OSU can score.  Looks like an over 50 game.

In 2003 LSU head coach Nick Saban said any team that does not win their conference does not deserve to play in the BCS title game.

In 2006 Florida head coach Urban Meyer said Michigan did not deserve a rematch against Ohio St. because they already had their chance to win.

Basically, past SEC coaches have said Bama should not get a 2nd shot at LSU.

Also, if LSU loses to Bama, it's said that LSU could argue for Co-NCs because the series would be tied 1-1.

What's the point of LSU vs Bama again???

It's simple, because Bama and LSU are the two best teams in the country by far. Either would spank the sh$t out of OSU. Bama has 1 loss in OT to the #1 team in the country. OSU has one loss to I think Iowa State? Whoever it was, is a no name 3rd tier team who if OSU is so great should've thoroughly destroyed. BUT, I think OSU will get the nod. They are a sexier team than Bama, and they will get a huge jump in votes. But LSU will treat them like a red headed step child. It won't even be close.

The issue is if LSU loses to Bama they are still saying LSU could be a Co-National Champ.  What's the point of the game?  I think if LSU's offense catches fire, they'd walk through Bama but that's a big "if".

The BCS CG was created as a plus one game only. Part of the theory is that the regular season games are wiped clean once #1 and #2 are put in the championship game and its winner take all. If Bama and LSU played 10 times, it would probably be a 5-5 split. If LSU/Bama played OSU 10 times, I would bet a 2-8 split at best. So I think saying that LSU won the first game with Bama is a bit of a narrow view. People forget Bama missed 4 FG's and had an interception at the 1 that could of went either way. I'm no Bama guy either, but the two best teams need to play, and OSU simply is not one of them.

Arkansas's offense is OSU's offense pretty much. And look what Bama and LSU did to them. Hell, look at what LSU did to Oregan at the beginning of the season. That is a prolific offense that got thumped big time. And most would say Bama has a slightly better defense than LSU.

if OSU is left out of the National Chamionship it will be a crime, how can you have a team that didnt even win its SUB CONFERENCE let alone win its CONFERENCE in the title game, the BCS game should be LSU vs. Oklahoma State, case closed.

maybe, maybe not, thats why they play the games, shit Appalachian State beat Michigan a few years ago and LSU OSU is a lot more realistic a matchup than that, lets find out whos best, the best of the SEC or the best of the Big 12.

Michigan ...seriously...you are comparing LSU to michigan that year they lost. lol wow.

BCS ranks the best two teams....about 6 undefeated teams LOST when all they had to do was WIN the past couple weeks...they allowed bama to get a rematch.

I see no problem with LSU vs BAMA rematch. Bring it on. I don't need to see OkSt get demolished.

Hi Herby.  :D

I still cannot figure out what App. State beating Michigan has anything to do with this years National Title game.  ??? The year that Michigan got beat by App. State is the same year that Michigan went down to Florida and beat Florida with Tim Tebag, percy Harvin, Brandon Spikes,..etc and beat their asses.

I agree on that. Bama did not win their conference, so, they do not deserve a shot against another team that already beat them. I know it was a close game, but Bama had their shot and lost. The End. I wanna see Oklahoma State against LSU. I just know Saban will use his snake oil and get into the championship game some fucking way.

Ames, Iowa is a tricky place to play a football game in late November-early December, that Cyclones team has a way of pulling big upsets, over the past coule of seasons they have gone into Lincoln and beaten a good Nebraska team and went into Austin and beaten a pretty good Texas team.

He signed long-term for LSU.  Plus he is apart of 3 National Titles there.  Why would he go to Michigan and be in the Bo Dog by the boosters within 3-4 yrs?

Les will get all the 4-5-stars that matter in Louisiana and clean up in North Florida and East Texas.

11-1 is a piece of cake year in and out.

Michigan is a thing of the past.

I was at a medical conference where one of LSU's docs was a speaker.

I hear you man. Just giving you a hard time. LOL. I actually want to see OK St vs LSU. As much as a homer SEC fan I am. I don't care to see BAMA vs LSU. LMAO that shit was boring as hell lol. They had their shot at home and lost.

Ok St would get WAAAAY MORE coverage nationally than Bama vs LSU. we'll see later in the day if Ok St jumped bama. I said last night they'd need to smash OU and they did so we'll see.
