Well, i do not understand why they would say that. I mean, you either have one/some or you don't. What the hell is the big deal? I guess they are scared that they "believe" every dude will run if they have a kid (which some might) but not all. I have ran into this myself on POF and in real life, and if they cannot answer a simple question like that, Fuck em".  8) I always say, "So, that is a no." And you will generally hear a long story about how the ex-husband/B/F left them due to the child/children. It's not our fault that they fucked a dude and he left or wants nothing to do with the woman.

Let's say if i hear something like, "Ohh, well it just did not work out." See - this is what i can accept. Now, when i hear something like, "Ohh good, he was a asshole/Douche/Dumbass,..etc. I know she is telling me a story and i know why dude left. Good for him. I hope he takes care of the kid though, ya know.

Too many women just expect "Men to be perfect"  ::) ::) that is when you tell them to go watch a Disney movies and watch the perfect story book ending.  ;)

I mean, you are on P.O.F. or in a Bar/Club and you expect to meet Mr. Right.  ::)

That is the shit that really irritates the fuck out of me. The women on P.O.F believe that they are "entitled" to that perfect ending.  ::)

Fuck that.  8)

Dear lord that is so true.  I am going to be approaching this POF thing a whole different way now.  I have met my breaking point with women.  Just like you, I am of the opinion "Just answer the fucking question".  They are obviously trying to land someone...but they know that they got themselves in a situation that they realize now limits their options.  I look at those women that, if given a choice...like "ok, you could abandon your kids and be with a man who makes a shit ton of money....or you could be with a man who makes $60K/yr and loves you and your kids and you will have to keep working.....which do you choose".  I would say that the "prefer not to answer" ones who run as fast as they could away from the kids.

The whole "it wasn't my fault", "I did the best I could", "I tried for years to keep us together"...blah blah blah...you weren't a saint....face it.  Sometimes you will get this...

Woman who has 2 kids...one 3, the other 6.....looking for "mr. right, not mr. right now....not looking for drama...happy with who I am...and living life to the fullest"...is something they keep telling themselves in hopes that they will believe it eventually  ::)

Me : So, how long were you having problems in the marriage?
Her: We had been having issues for the last 4 - 5 years.  He cheated on me a lot.  He verbally abused me and was always disrespectful
Me : So, let me ask...why didnt you leave
Her: I did....thats why I listed divorced
Me: No, why didnt you do the best thing for your own self respect and leave before having another kid
Her: I love my kids
Me : I never said you dont, I am asking if it was so bad, why didnt you leave before popping out another kid
Her: You are rude
Me : No, its a legit question...you just like to paint the 'victim' picture to any who will listen and get smoke blown up your ass saying how you are so right...and you deserved better.

People sometimes just make stupid mistakes.  My best friend had a baby with a loser who wasn't working and was always drinking and taking rec drugs.  Now after 8 years they have finally broken up for good, after he kicked and punched her and spat in her face.  I told her she shouldn't have had a baby with him in the first place, that I told her from day one he was no good and next time she meets a guy she had better take her friends advice seriously.  And btw, the reason why he beat her was because he has become a hari krisna and she is tired of him trying to ram this religion down her throat and threw his krisna statue at him.  He went crazy because she meant to smash it.

1) Again, someone being painted as totally innocent (note..I am insinuating she deserved anything...but you are probably leaving out things that she did)

2) She threw it at him, but she meant to smash it?  While I dont condone the physical retaliation, what you describe doesn't add up.  When you smash something you throw it on the ground, against wall, etc.  You said she threw it at him.  The story doesn't add up.  Again, you are pointing out his physical outbursts....but leave out what she did.

She threw it and meant to smash it and he jumped in and caught it.  She didn't mean to throw it at him.  I am not making my friend out to be innocent because at the end of the day, she was stupid enough to have a relationship with him and a baby.  As beautiful as the baby is, she could have gone to a sperm bank.  My friend is as much to blame because she has been trying to change him for 8 years...make him into something he wasn't.

I am not trying to split hairs here....nor am I trying to ruffle feathers.  Again, I read the above like you are trying to still 'cover' for your friend.  "She didnt mean to throw it at him".  To me, thats a bull shit excuse.  A guy would say something like this "We were standing close to one another, I picked up her statue and was going to throw it against the wall.  She went to try and catch it and instead missed and it hit her in the (blank)".  Deep down, I think you know that your friend probably would have liked to throw it at him.  Yes?  Not trying to start a fight...just pointing out some basic human nature in a toxic relationship

She has asked him to leave so many times I have lost count.  She is very responsible for allowing things to reach this point where things are so explosive.  They cannot have a relationship or live together.  They are too different and they do not get along.  I am not making any excuses, trust me I tell her all the time how she has fucked up.

I know you implored her to leave....but the above statement is so telling that she did NOT want to leave.  People inherently want to be told that they were the victim in a situation they had control over.

Exactly.  She is as much to blame as her ex.  She should have got out of this relationship years ago, before it reached this state.

She's a personal trainer.  We have worked together at one of the gyms.  That is how I met her.  I have known her for ten years.

"I love my kids."

I've had aging males say that exact same thing about having children, etc.  I'll say something like, "I'd love to have kids, hell...I'd have 8 or 9, but, not planning on having children, can't afford it, 2 parents working all the time just to support a family seems real tough, too tough for me, my parents did that and it was too hard on their relationship, etc."  Then they have a moment to realize that what I said is rational, objectionable, makes sense and to defend their own dipshit choices in life, they say....." I love my kids."

Aging males and females, jittery like deer at the first sign of accountibility.

My buddy used POF for awhile....my favorite story was when I met a couple of his choice hookups from the site.....he was telling everybody how he hooked up with two chickas' at the same time, etc, and our buddies were all in awe of him, till' I spilled the beans.... I nicknamed these chickas', HORSE-FACE and MAGDELA ( something about mary flick.)  AWFUL, just awful looking women, not the fantasy he was telling....hahahaha!
