thanks bro but i want to be able to bench press 315 for at least one rep but preferably more

like the getbig said^^ structure is very flawed so better try strength

it's weird that the 5x5 shit is working for leg strength but not nearly as good for bench strength


probably the same old thing we said that the less motor units the less room for improvement in neuromuscular efficiency
Dude,when something doesn`t work,examine all possible reasons and switch things up accordingly..........you`ve got nothing to lose and as long as you are still training,you will not lose size or strength.

IMO,as far as benching goes,I`d try warming up with 8-10 reps with a moderately heavy weight,then try 3X3 with a manageable poundage,followed by a set of 10 hard reps.

Start out considerably lighter than your max on the 3x3,and once you complete all 3 sets of 3,add a 2 + 1/2 to the bar and start over.

It is important to start out pretty light so that you progress fairly steadily.

Also,weighted dips,and heavy inclines should help as well as lat work(6-12 reps) and skullcrushers (5 x 10,8,5,5,12).

Just my thoughts but as I said,you`ve got nothing to lose by trying a different approach.

Once the body adapts to a certain stimulus,it`s time to switch things up just a bit or keep spinning your wheels in vain.

and so basically you suggest piramiding to 3x3 and then 1x10

the thing in the program i was doing that didnt seem to make sense was that

they did 1x5 bench on monday and 5x5 on friday but the dips and triceps would also be done on friday despite the 5times more bench volume

and no dips or triceps on the monday


other way around would make more sense

right now i bench on monday and friday, with military press on wednesday

military press is hopelessly stagnated i dont think i should even try anymore with it


maybe i can do incline bench on friday or monday and flat bench only once

seems also bench press muscles have less "set endurance" meaning the difference between 5x5 and 1x5 is much bigger than in squats


maybe i should take up to 5 minutes rest in between bench sets to get better progress?

Single sets are ok, but extended hard work is better

Sounds good,but if you are completely disatisfied with military presses,try switching up to Bradford Preses............great movement for delts IMO.

I`d do the benches first in the week as it is the heaviest movement.

if i'm going to do it i start my 25th birthday normally, in a year and 2 months

during this time i can train more and learn about hormones and more importantly i need to save money now quickly, finally moving my ass out the house lol (generation nothingness)

purenaturalstrength imo you don't look like you're on roids... you look like a gymrat who trains regularly and who likes to train hard, that's about it. No hormona look yet imo. I think you look good overall but your back looks really shabby compared to your other bodyparts, but overally you have a good physique, brah! great wheels.

thanks getbiggers but problem is i only look like this when flexing without clothes dont look like much with normal clothes unless those faggy fitting t shirts with the sleeves that only go to half of your humerus

that's why it needs to be bigger


but i was so happy when yesterday i met a girl i used to lift with in the sports gym, i didnt see her for two years then i left and went to commercial gym


she is high level natural weightlifter and slept with some pros so she know about physique


she said my arms look bigger and more conditioned, forearms noticably improved, she felt my quadriceps thru my jeans to check if i was still training them she said good

but she said my traps regressed since i quit lifting weightlifting

it was pretty weird all of this in the middle of a night club, but the girl knows weight lifting and she knows physique

too bad she's only into juiced up africanos she could be ideal girlfriend material
