I remember Arnold saying that he first started training calves seriously when he met Reg Park.
He claimed Reg Park would load the calf machine with 800-1000lbs and do sets while before Arnold would only do half of that weight.

I'd like to see a photo of any of these calf machines with 1000 lbs. That sounds like BS to me. Those machines cannot hold that much weight.

arnold thighs were a bit slim even so cut up . so calves gave him the legs . like vince basile said his calf improvment is a big spectacular sucess . . who elese got improvment like this on his calves in four years . or things that remain hidden . that he did .

Arnold had good calves (not great) but it was a lagging part that he worked hard to bring up. You don't get those striations and muscle quality with implants. Agree, many pros in the 70s/early 80s had perfect sized legs. The pros now have a miserable time doing anything athletic because many of them carry too much leg muscle, which kills any functionality...shit they can't even walk right.

Such a lack of the soleus (width)muscle from the back. It's as if the soleus muscle didn't spread at all while the upper calf blow up.

Also his calves from the front, Tibialis anterior, Peroneus Longus and Extensor Longus digitorum look like they've hardly seen the inside of a gym in some shots. Strange

Arnold didn't have huge legs, but I love the seperation and the size of his legs. Now, I know all Getbiggers have 35" shredded cathedral pillars on their lower halves, but to rest of the world Arnold's legs were huge.....and of course it's the validation of total strangers we're all after.
