In the early forties Walt Disney and Pinto Colvig had a falling out…Walt wanted Pinto to work for him exclusively…So Pinto walked…To keep the character Goofy going they did the cartoons where Goofy did not speak but a narrator delivered a “lecture” that Goofy illustrated with action…

During this time Pinto went to the Fleischer and Warner Brothers studios…At Warners he did a lot of the vocal “sound effects” for a long time…and also did a couple of characters as well.

After a few years Walt and Pinto made up and he went back to Disney...But Walt relented and let him continue to do the vocal effects for Warners.

now that you mention Walt Disney .. I was thinking about how much the lady's dancing shoes in the Freddy cartoon you posted were/are so similar to Minnie Mouse' shoes it's like they were drawn by the same guy

Foghorn Leghorn is my favourite Warner Bros. cartoon character. When I read one of TA's high-dudgeon posts, I hear it in my head with Foghorn's voice.
