In the early forties Walt Disney and Pinto Colvig had a falling out…Walt wanted Pinto to work for him exclusively…So Pinto walked…To keep the character Goofy going they did the cartoons where Goofy did not speak but a narrator delivered a “lecture” that Goofy illustrated with action…
During this time Pinto went to the Fleischer and Warner Brothers studios…At Warners he did a lot of the vocal “sound effects” for a long time…and also did a couple of characters as well.
After a few years Walt and Pinto made up and he went back to Disney...But Walt relented and let him continue to do the vocal effects for Warners.
