So, my question is, how long does wine last after you open it? the red one had a cork, but I put the cork back in it upside down and then it fit and sealed it again..
are there any coutries which are known to make the best wines? italy etc?
An unfinished bottle of red in a fridge is such a lonely thing, try and finish it off before it gets put in there as it doesnt last very long. Red wine tastes better at room temperature and after it has been opend a while (to let it "breath" if you will). Leave it too long opened in the fridge and its suitable for beef stews etc. Thewre is a dutch hand vacumn pump/seal system available but as the dutch person who gave me a present of it who else but the dutch would have the need to save the little left in a near empty bottle
Rather than try and get the name of athe best wine you might have more fun just learning along the way . Price , atleast in most countries is no indication of how much you will like it. You may not like tsome of the "superior " wines- ie find your own taste rather than a book taste
Lidl & Aldi do good inexpensive wines and at €3 - €4 a bottle its difficult to complain.
