Well, that might be true for lowly mods such as Chaos, mods of whom have been placed into a moderator group with no such assigned permissions vis a vis viewing IP numbers, but for other moderators (such as "bent Wes") that is not the case, as his very own words reveal!
As per the forum software settings & options, Ron has clearly created several user groups and thereafter assigned each one with different permissions; in wes' case, he is able to read IP numbers, as his above quoted no-brainer post betrays.
