The Branched Chain Amino Acids, L-Leucine , L-Isoleucine, L-Valine are more than just a part of the amino acid profile. They are the aminos the body depletes most rapidly during an intense workout, and will cannibalize lean tissue to obtain. I use Beverly's MUSCLE MASS BCAA's, and they are expensive. I take about 4 before a workout, and 4 tabs every 10 minutes during my workout for a total of 28-32. This halts catabolism enough that I notice a marked decrease in soreness the day following my workout.
