Obviously Sergio from his Prime (early 1970s) would never match Dex's Conditioning in the 2000's however he would more than hold his own in the Mass stakes with the 2008 Champ, Dex 2008 Sergio 1978

You can't just compare pics. They'd have to be match head-to-head, which is impossible now.

Look at the 1971 NABBA Mr. Universe. Sergio looks MONSTROUS by himself. But, stand him next to Bill Pearl and Sergio doesn't look so dominant (well, obviously not, since Pearl beat him).

Legs for the time, very good. Smooth , yes, but for the time, not really. Definitely not zane-like
A bber with a small waist that can do arms-overhead poses without disappearing is rare, but sergio had a great torso and limbs

Magazines and books will sensationalize shit, like oh, his head was smaller than his arms, in that vid, without the wig, it wouldve been evident as true.
Also apparently he had limited range of motion, in his arms, due to very long bellies and attachments, to the point the developed muscle constrained the movement, therefore the  most he was able to bend his arm in a fdb was 90 deg..
I don't know how true that is, but it does seem he achieved the ultimate arm size possible for him in those pics
