Facebook is the dumbest shit in out there. I deleted it too cus I found myself getting sucked into checking it every ten minutes at work. For what? So I can look at your stupid ugly fucking baby?  I dont care that you are eating a pretzel at the mall or that you checked into the closest Chilis. Go fuck urself and die....

Deatctivated my account about 3 weeks ago....never been happier

My view of facebook as a 35 year old male is:
-religious people were pissing me off daily
-posts about new miracle suppliments by fat fucks pissing me off daily(advocare, body by vi, shakology)
-small town dipshits with no education preaching about politics when having no exposer to reality pissing me off daily
-taking my getbig posting style to facebook pisses everyone else off daily

Fuck facebook!

i can relate !  ;D

FB is a good way to keep in touch with the close people in your life. No one said you had to have 39293923092302303209 friends. Keep a few close friends and family members (the ones you know won't annoy you) and you're good to go.

x2.  Even then I log in maybe 3x a year.  The only people I link to as "friends" are family members; we all use it to stay in touch, but I mainly do that via email.  I will probably cancel it this year as I don't use it, don't like it, and really do not like the intrusions on privacy. >:(

When I sit in a restaurant and look around, most of the couples there are looking at their phones intead
of each other. My girl plays on her phone while lying in bed while watching TV....WTF is that? Enough shit
going on at once time, geez.

Good observation here, I noticed that too. At least you know the bitch will cheat if she disrespects her husband/bf that badly, though. lol

Not true in Canada. Our privacy laws force facebook to delete the account completely at a user's request. There's a 10 day delay.

Fuck facebook!

Deactivated my in 2009. I got sick of;

Fat, ugly people posting every single detail of their miserable fucking lives with idiotic updates.

'Michelle is walking to her car' . Seriously? You SERIOUSLY stopped for a minute to post that?? 2min later.. 'Michelle is in her car' ....... Lord.

'I just woke up. That was a great sleep' .. ??? Wish you died while sleeping you fucking idiot so you could spare me trudging through the excrement that falls from your brain.

The religious weirdos. 'Praise God, Give him your life!!!' . Praise Satan! Glory to him!

A 50 year old fat mom posting things such as 'Hey Jay, whatZ up d00d!' . /facepalm

People posting 3030820940239402934 pics of their new born babies, ecstatically go on how beautiful he/she is. Hmm, not really. Looks like wrinkled up, ugly screaming alien.

People (girls usually) posting shit such as 'I love *********. He is my world. My everything. Without him my life wouldn't be worth living. I love you baby, forever'. Sweet Jesus. Do you know he probably spend 80% of his internet-time jacking off to porn whilst dreaming of banging every chick that so much as look at him.

Then the pseudo 'deep thinkers'. 'Love means wanting the other person to be happy, even if that means they can't stay with you' or some shit like that. Usually single, dysfunctional having spent years convincing themselves that they're enlightened and that the world don't deserve people like them.

The artists. Tortured souls on the verge of suicide for their art whilst living off benefits and government handouts. Would usually steal quotes from actual great artists and pass it off as their own. 'I saw an angel in the marble and carved until I set her free'.

The man-haters. Usually fat, oily, spending 10 hours a day on Facebook taking pot shots at men since they have nothing better to do and couldn't get a stray dog to fuck them.

Finally, the ones that quit Facebook and make a big deal out of it in their status updates. 'I'm leaving all this, see you in real life' .... only to be back two days later after realizing they don't have a real life.

And so on ..

No thanks. Zero interest in social media or having to read what morons think and do with their lives. Nobody is that interesting.

Lol,so much truth in this thread.I love leaving comments like you're fat, your're ugly,u got bald, your son is a fat fuck or something.Eventhough they get deleted instantly when the person sees it,i still laugh in tears knowing that they felt like shit for a while.Oh and sometimes those fuckers text back saying i am a jerk or something, lol'ed.Taking the getbig mentality over facebook makes lot's of insecure loosers miserable, they actually take it serious =))

100% percent agree with james28,these social networks are maybe the worst disease of this "modern society"  ::)

Oh, I forgot my favorite.

'Happy birthday darling. You're 2 now. Such a big girl now! Mommy loves you'

I mean, /FACEPALM. The little screaming shit is SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. IT DOESN'T HAVE A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT. WHY DO YOU DIRECTLY CONGRATULATE HER ON FACEBOOK?

I can almost see it. 'Sara, mommy is busy congratulating you on Facebook and Twitter. I don't have time for you right now'. Fucking idiots.

Obviously if this little monster don't live with you, is around 13 and spends every waking moment on dumb social media like most teenagers do, then I can understand, but not when it is a baby.

Sometimes I almost despair.

Facebook innately aren't a bad idea. However, make anything available to the masses and it invariably degenerate into a cesspool of 'Me ME MEEEEE!'

I know a chick that anounced that she lost her twins.... Who the fuck in their right mind announces something so personal on a social media site????

So is talking to them in real life and drinking a cup of coffee. But I am just old school. Pretty soon all those people who are using FB a lot will look at it from a completely different angle.

People view privacy like 'I dont have anything to hide, so what is the problem'. The problem is that what you think is not important IS very important to many other people. People are small-minded and only think about themselves and what applies to them personally. 'I am a student--->I will vote for more money for students. After that I dont care'

A long time ago...countries had lists of all religions of people....Germans were looking for Jews....Lists came in very handy...

'But NO, this can NEVER happen again, not in todays MODERN society. We have cars, airplanes, freedom of speach, internet, democracy and pink soap...'

The day will come when a big government (I am predicting USA, which is not hard to do because USA is always leader of bad shit) will demand ALL of Facebooks information to 'find a very dangerous terrorist group'. This will be of national safety importance. In 1 stroke all of the wonderfull information people have been putting on there will be turned against them and freedom will be that much smaller.

Jullian Assange has been openly talking about Facebooks obvious connection (direct interface) with the FBI. Can you imagine people 20 years ago or even today that somebody comes up to you and asks you for your birthday, couple of pictures in private settings, who your friends are, what you like, what you buy, where you go out, which city you live in and much more...? I bet 99,9% of the people will be pissed off and would never answer any of those q's.

On Facebook 700million people worldwide are doing it this second...

'The last stage of slavery is when people are not feeling enslaved but free'

Great post.  Every "Facebooker" better read this post several times.

FB is nothing more than a government spy database disguised as "social media".  You can never truly "delete" anything, you can only de-activate your membership.

Watch and wake up...

Epic read, exactly why Ive stayed away from all this shit, I was doing the Instant Messaging thing back in 98 and I got sick of it then, why I stayed away from it 10 years later when everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Its good to have your space.

I'm not a Facebook hater, but I have been deactivated on there for just about 8 months now and have been better off since.
