We don't need presidents - we need people who would be willing to risk their head for equality and proper education.
Another milestone would be each citizen avoiding the consume of unnecessary corporate goods.
Buy local - no more Plasma, Nike, Toys, MC/BKing, etc.

we particularly don't need another pathetic mute individual sitting on the bench

Which is why we need to elect someone who isn't Obama.

Again, the rate is the highest in the world.  That is a pure fact.  Whether or not the company can take advantage of loopholes/deductions are another matter and require more dollars spent on accountants.  So, reduce the tax rate significantly, cut the loopholes (usually taken by large companies) and reduce dollars spent on accountants.  That is a simple solution to help business and likely wouldn't affect corporate revenues.  Most small businesses are filed as S-corps and are taxed at personal rates...so, if Obama gets rid of the bush tax cuts (which assisted most people, not just the rich), small business could be taxed at 39%.  That is f-cking outrageous...for people busting their ass, employing others and taking risks.
Benny, you seem like a big government near communist.  I imagine you have never ran a business and seen how difficult it is.  Have you ever hired anyone?  Ever taken out loans and put your house up as a guarantee?  If not, then I don't want to hear what you think is fair for business.  Remember, most businesses in this country are small business, employing less than 25 people.  I know that some large businesses are unscrupulous.

I know its near pointless arguing with you Benny because you are so closed minded.  No personal flame intended, but you have a very narrow liberal view and never change your opinions even when presented with facts.  Anyway, here is the huffington post, a liberal leaning periodical, discussing the high corporate tax rate.  Obama even states he would lower it some (but then raise personal tax rates which screw small business).  I'm with Romney 100% on this one. A 25% corporate tax rate is very reasonable and a compromise...and s-coprs shouldn't pay more than 25% either.  Take out half the loopholes and we can make a near flat tax of 25% or two tiered rate with less deducitons.  Our tax system is a complicated mess.  We pay far too much to accountants too.

If Mitt Romney becomes president, but congress is still unable to compromise on anything, what difference would a new president make?

Serious answers?

Considering that both houses of Congress will be under Republican control, no, I dont think Romney will have a problem working with them. His only problem will be what he will have to give up to to get the 6 or 7 Dems he will need to get legislation through. What he has to give up will probably anger some Conservatives.

Is absence of gridlock really what we need? The last time that happened, the GOP exploded federal spending and deficits. Not to mention the explosion of executive power and erosion of our civil liberties.

People seem to forget this.  They complain about Obama but conveniently forget all the bullshit from the last administration, namely the patriot act and the huge increase in spending on an unnecessary war in Iraq.

True, Bush II spent way too much so its more than just the party in office.  However, Pres Obama is still the greatest offender in that area, his admin. has increased the national debt by 5 trillion, more than any other president and his term isn't over yet.  Federal government is currently spending more than ever before.  If healthcare isn't repealed, the states will soon have an even greater burden of spending with the 33% expansion in medicaid (initially the federal gov funds much of it but hands that responsibility mostly to the states in time).

A lot of that is a carry over from the Bush war policy.
