I was a purple belt when I was 16 years old  I should of stuck with it. I was very flexible could do splits and spinning crescent kicks all kinds of cool shit. Honestly it really helped me with other sports. It helped with my speed, the more flexible you're the faster you can run. It was a bullshit style though. We did all the corny katas all of the traditional BS. We did spar quite a bit though.
