Heaviest DB's in your gym?
« on: April 16, 2012, 12:48:29 PM »
My friend who owns the gym bought some 62.5kg's 137.5lbers last week. Almost 20lb heaver per DB than the second heaviest.

Had a rattle on them today. Awkward. How people do 200lbers God only knows!

Most I've been to stop in the 120-130lb range, a few to #150. After #150, I can only think of one or 2 that got into the #200 range.

After #150, they're mostly used for shrugs and rows. Once and a while, someone might try to bench them, but seldom succeed.

Biggest bell I've seen so far, was a custom #330lbs one.

120's. Heaviest I've seen were 140's, and they were covered in dust.

250lbs, a lot o ppl use it at my gym mostly for shrugs. worst part is u will find the 150s-200s dropped off by assholes in the 40-60lbs section.

My YMCA goes up to 150s.

I'm not sure what "rattle on them" means because I don't speak Irish ;), but from the context of your message, I gather the [almost] 140s were heavy?

With a little practice, a lad as big and strong as you should be able to handle them for flat and incline DB presses.  And all natural, right? ;)
