weird hair loss
« on: April 25, 2012, 07:36:00 AM »
alright so i did a blast that ended one month ago. cycle was this

1-6 tren ace 350mg
1-8 NPP 700mg
1-8 test E 250mg

ive been cruising on 125mg test E for the past month. the problem is that the hair loss got really bad on cycle and once i came off i kept shedding for another  week. then it seemed to ease up a bit but since last week ive been shedding like crazy. im talking over 100 hairs on my hands in the shower. this is more than ive ever had before. on the cycle i was just using minoxidil, nizoral, and topical spironolactone. now im using:

minoxidil 2x per day
finasteride 1.25mg/day
coconut oil before bed
emu oil before bed
travoprost 1x daily(prostaglandin analog)

anyone know what the fuck is going on? most of the hairs are full grown thick ones. maybe 3-5 shed are thinner weak ones. i thought it could be another minoxidl shed but ive never had anything this crazy. maybe its the travoprost?

im 22 but i already know im prone to MPB. i started shedding after my first cycle so i know its gonna happen. i just dont know why its happening so fast even though im barely on any gear.

Its the finasteride. It induced a new hair cycle so your scalp is getting rid of all the old ones. Look it up, when ppl first start using finasteride they shed like crazy then it slows down and if it works, shedding eventually stops.

Sounds like telogen efflivum look it up. However te usually starts meaning its the starting phase of mpb usually. Nothjhg did it to me before but tren same deal n fucked me over for good.

I strongly suggett u leave nizoral on Ur head over night. Wet Ur hair abit or don't n apply nizoral on Ur head. Pat it dry go to bed. Tons of people notice instant stopping of hairloss with this. Really try it give it a few days.

shedding from finasteride is sometime seen by people who have been using for a year or so continuously. i was not using it on cycle.

if it was TE wouldnt that have happened at the start of the cycle? when hormonally induced its usually because of a sudden change in the androgen content of the blood or something similar. i had been off the tren for i think 6 weeks when this kicked in

ill give the nizoral a shot again. i tried it while on the tren but it really didnt do anything.

Wait are u saying that once someone experiences TE that means they are going bald?

one of, if not thee best advice i got on g.b was lyquids reomendation of the nizoral 2% on overnight. I sent him an i.m thanking him for sharing the info and proved  to me a bit that bodybuilders are not aLL Selfish narcisisstic lying scumbags. lyquid you are a gentleman and a scholar. ps.i just got the emu oil and will be adding it in the fight. lol......pss. for me adding the nizoral seemed to halt hairloss in a dramatic way.

well, i was always hesitant about using more than 200mg perweek of test because in the past anything over that caused major shedding. i seem to be at a predisposion for this though as i have been slowly losing receding since 19. but i still have hair. also had a hair transplant 10 years ago which is holding up nicely. everytime i would start up a small test cycle hair loss but not this time. read a thread on here about hair loss and lyquid posted some interesting stuff seemed to know and believe in what he was talking about. the nizoral. stops the loss but i would imagine when i stop the test i will be getting more regrowth as that always seemed to be the case in the past. i also take 2mg finesteride eod

awesome. happy for u man. yeah that nizoral overnight i tried it when i was shedding a lot and it helped a ton. Stopped nearly all shedding and this was on 600 mg test a week and around 300 mg deca. I also take saw palmetto 320 mg extract perday.

It is the Tren A

Don't believe when people say it is not hard on the hair line.

yeah i was thinking about trying tren again since my nizoral discovery but dont want to push my luck. i used tren twice both with amazing results on my physique but not so amazing on the hair.

Nope. I will never touch finasteride. Too many bad sides imo and its only good for test only cycles.

finasteride gave me the worst hair loss of my life, about 1 week after starting it. that is not normal and in the people that it occurs, it doesn't actually "regrow stronger" when it's shedding that soon.

if it's from the finasteride and you keep using it your hair will continue to shed but get better once you go off. it's rare but it happened to me, and a very small handful of men on hairloss forums (happens consistently, hair never gets better until going off finasteride)

could also be that prostaglandin, they do have some role in causing hairloss, depending on which prostaglandin it is.

ill look into it but hair loss is caused from DHT and test converts into DHT so i would consider finasteride neccesary. ive used finasteride before and never had shedding like this.

as far as the prostaglandin goes, its from the same family as lattisse(bimatoprost) which is used for thickening eye lashes and has been shown to be more effective in promoting hair growth than latisse. there are certain prostaglandins that cause hair loss but they are of a different class.

still, i was going to stop using it today and see if that makes a difference.

so you put shampoo on your hair and go to sleep? Or is it cream you use?

ah ok, if you've used finasteride before without losing hair then i'm going to say it's something else. no idea how brimoprost functions, i know that it's worked clinically to regrow hair, and that it has the side effect of pigmenting the iris of the eye

i think that was only when they put the drops into the eyes. im putting it directly on my head. the molecule is small enough that it should be able to pass through the skin.

yeah, i've seen people running it on hairloss boards. it's real expensive stuff, i've seen the price of that stuff per MG, hah!

yeah, and it was in the trials where it was used on eyelashes, in some people it changed their iris brown. no idea if it will have the same effect if it gets absorbed and circulates systemically but i doubt there is enough drug for that to happen.

yea i ordered mine from an overseas supplier. its generic so its a fair bit cheaper but im thinking its not worth it. youre supposed to see hair regrowth in 3 weeks or less but ive been on a month and still nothing.

you'd need to get a microscope camera to be able to see changes in hair growth over that short of a time period
