Only a small, small minority. Ones who have done time for rape, murder, robbery, dealing big time weight the harder crimes---tend to be quiet (don't want to get caught again, or don't want attract attention to themselves) the stupid ones who don't care, and get caught again, act out.

Ive known some lifelong convicts whose records included violent crimes that were some of the politest and best mannered people you ever seen until they got pushed to a certain point and then there was no getting out of it for the person who fucked with them....so they go sit another 5 years or so in prison and the cycle repeats itself.
