it really is so hard to say which contests ronnie and yates were at their best,most people believe yates best was the 93 olympia,cause it was before the torn bicep,dorian sites 95 as his best year,97 he was his heaviest,but too many injuries,i always thought in 94 he had the best version of his back,its just that was the first year of the torn bicep.i hear a lot of people saying ronnies best was in 98,when it took the judges a little while to figure how good he was,reason for flex winning rd1.then a lot sight his arnold classic victory,and some the first year he supersized.which i think would be the only year he could have handled yates,just because of the sheer size and fact he was still ripped at that size,may have been too much for yates best,but still i only say maybe.

Dorian always looked flat on the stage and thats why ND rarely post a olympia shot of him. OTOH those stage pics of Heath totally smokes the competition and ND has no answer to them so back to the magazine pictures of Dorian.

Dorian always looked flat?   Somehow he managed to win 6 Olympias in the era containing the most competitive field.

19 years later and those photos still cause fanboys to meltdown , speaks volumes on how ahead of the game Dorian was and how no one to this day has matched or surpassed him  

The reason I usually post the black & whites is , because many people feel that's the best Dorian ever looked in his career , and I agree. Dorian came to the conclusion that he was for all intents and purposes he was contest ready six weeks out and in some vain attempt to get better conditioned he would end up sacrificing muscle and coming into to small  

Dorian absolutely dominated in competition at the Olympias even despite that now imagine if he came in like that? You don't like those pics because they show just how great Dorian was and how no one since has matched that combo , not Ronnie , not Jay , not Dexter , not Heath

I'll put Dorian's contest only pics up against ANY of them and he still wins , why? he meets ALL of the criteria better than any of them , watch & learn because Ronnie , Dex , Jay , or Heath don't compare

Exactly 1993 Flex's best year he concedes Dorian is unbeatable , 1998 Ronnie's best Olympia he just barely beat Flex by the skin of his teeth in one of the closest Olympia's to this day !!!! 1999 Flex turns his back in Ronnie and says he's #1 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Look at Phil's muscle bellies compared to Dorian, his detail in the arms and legs, Dorian had very little detail from the front. The only advantage Dorian has over Phil is dryness and shoulder width, the later of which is lessened because he also has a bigger waist.

Easy win for Phil.

I guess the bottom line is that Bodybuilding is subjective. My Fav. is Sean Ray.  I think he should have won at least 2 Sandows. What do I know

And if these Ronnie nuthuggers would check the scoresheets, they would know that Dorian's 6 year reign was far more dominant based on judging scorecards. The Ronnie and Haney reign were a struggle for them, both losing rounds to multiple competitors.... Dorians reign was a flawless victory, never lost a single round.

Ronnie lost rounds to Flex, Kevin, and Jay, lost a show to Gunter (lol) and then lost to Jay.

Note,; both Kevin and Flex looked better while competing in Dorian's era and they both couldn't put a dent in Dorians armour. So you guys are entitled to your opinion and you can say Ronnie was better all you want but not one person on here can claim the judges would give Ronnie the win, based on the track record of the IFBB judging, without a doubt Dorian wins.

With regards to flex, heath is very impressive. But he has NOTHING on flex. Nothing

Phil has more muscular bulk, better balance, and conditioning. Flex had super-heavyweight arms on a light heavyweight's torso. He also had practically zero calves. You can attribute this to high insertions, poor shape, etc - it doesn't matter. He was missing calves. As for conditioning, I'm surprised it even needs to be said. Phil's best conditioning > Flex's best conditioning.
