I think he did one full pull up towards the end. Still impressive though, but what's the point? I was doing 190+ push ups when I was 17 yrs old. Only did that because I had no fucking clue what else to do.  ;)

I didn't see one pull up. Go all the way down and all the way up.

If you can do half pullups or even worse, kips you can brag you can do 30 plus pullups. Same with dumbbell shoulder presses or dumbbell incline presses. If you do half reps by not going all the way down you can grab those 120lbs plus dumbbells to show everyone how strong you are.  ::)   Don't get me going on leg presses.

I saw 2 full pull-ups at the very end of that video.

Those looked like partial pull-ups in that the individual didn't go down any further than mid-range.  It's comparable to doing push-ups with your knees raised.

you guys are idiots.

this guy is working the exact correct range for back.

the full hang only means that you engage minor muscle at the start, its a pointless waste of energy.  Furthermore this guy doesnt give his back any rest at all- its in constant tension the whole time- making it even harder. The body of the muscle is used from about 1/3 up to 4/5 up.

its the same as for bench, biceps curls and a whole load of other movements.

the form is fine.

Hey relax, in fact I do the chins in the exact same way but the question is how many chin ups in a minute, those are not real chin ups from a judgingh criteria point of view, get it. ;)

pressing movements yes i can agree with onnce th range is PAST 3 1/4 of the move however for me chins I think stretching the lats at the bottom is very important
..
So HELL no that isnt harder than going all the way down
choice is an illusion
