I'd hate to know what my max is now, but when I was workin out, my maxs were bench 265lbs. and a military press of 220.  I weighed 204 at the time, now I've got married and packed the weight on bad, 36lbs. in 2 years.  Need a good motivator to put me back in gym and on the right track.  Genetically I can never look built like alot of other people, but you feel good and your excersing and that's all that matters!

Picture was taken during a typical workout back in my day.  Here I probably banged out 4-6 reps.

Best single rep (as last set of a 12-set bench workout) was 595lbs at a BW of 265, around age 28.

Now 40, BW 225lbs.  I only press on the Smith and never go above 405 (I want my shoulders to last for the long haul).  Usually can pump out 6-8reps.

Just an update. This week, I got out 6 clean reps with 225lbs, and 2 reps out with 275lbs on the bench. I also gained 5lbs. I've switched to some very low priced supplements the past 2 weeks, and since then, every one of my lifts has gone up in weight! I don't understand it. I've wasted so much money on overpriced crap, and now I'm on supps. that cost about 1/3 of what i used to pay, and I've never made progress like this in 3 years of training! Last week I incline pressed 80lbs db's for 10 reps, and thought I probably could've done more, but it was my 4th set already. This week I got the 90lbers up for 8 reps. I thought it would've taken me till the summer to get to the 100lbs db's, but it's only about 2 weeks away!! I'm so pumped!!!

You should already be capable of 375.

You should already be capable of 375.

i'm very confident i can do it...i don't believe in missing lifts so i always aim low.

i will try 375 in two weeks...
