He should not be put to death! That should never happen in a civilized society. Having said that, his life is over. There is no way he could be found anything but guilty. His defense team is grasping at straws--to put it mildly. Lord knows I would not want to be part of that team of counselors; not even Johnny Cochran could do it!

Jerry's wife enabled much of this over many years. I am surprised she is not charged with something.

As for the university, I do not believe many people on campus really knew about what was going on—perhaps three or four. Mike McQueary saw and reported what he saw, but the people he reported it to didn’t grasp the seriousness of the allegations.

"Fucking" becomes, "fucking around" becomes "something inappropriate" becomes "horseplay", becomes, etc. People often hear what they want to hear (given the stakes). There have been several articles about this phenomenon since this story broke.

the trial sickens me what two consenting adults do who gives a crap ,but doing this to children. how can the asshole sit there with a straight face guy is emotionless. when questioned before he died paterno said he didn't understand he never heard about sex between two men.

Paterno is very culpable for allowing this to go on after he found out.

as a side note one of these character witness tools testified that men and little boys shower together all the time where he's from, and that he often showered with little girls. they should have arrested this guy right there and then.
