You must only work in an office, or don't have a real job. I have a construction related company that requires me to be in the field a lot, like in different regions daily. These little things come in very handy. I had a net book first that had an aircard, then got an iPad. It is a good way to be able to work on the fly. I don't use public transportation, or go to Starbucks, so I have no need to show off my technology.

The kick stand is actually such a basic thing but its so freaking useful.  A brand of Android tablets called "Archos" has them standards in most all their tablets, I used to have one and they come in handy so much - no need for a case or anything!


Now I'm an Android guy through and through for my phone and my tablet... but I want to give some praise to the Microsoft tablet....  

If you have used Windows phone 7 and Windows 8 (I have used both) you will see how freaking SMOOTH it is and just so FLUID...  I mean its even more smooth than iOS - and thats REALLY saying something!  The new Microsoft OS really has much potential!

But there are two problems in my eyes:

1.  Its Microsoft - and for some reason Microsoft like to over complicate shit so much, I just can imagine some annoyances popping up all the time which really take away from the experience.
2.  The Ecosystem and App availability is very far from Android and REALLY VERY far from Apple...  this takes time, but you really don't know what will happen when they start to catch up Google and Apple could have progressed THAT much more by then.

I watched the Microsoft press conference last night, I think they said 9.2 mm which is right in par with the new ipad , so same thickness.

Btw the keyboard is not standard, its a part of the cover which is separate .  The kick stand is a part of tablet's magnesium body.

But I think Microsoft really stepped up there game this time, the ui is amazing....
