Greg Kovacs......I remember there being all these commercials(cell-Tech...now 450% more effective) for him achieving all these unbelievable strength claims.  He looked great on the pages, but when he stepped on stage :-X

He couldn't even win the Russian Grand Prix.  You'd think he'd be a hometown favorite and would easily take first, no matter the competition.

2003
Grand Prix Russia - IFBB, 3rd

2004
Grand Prix Russia - IFBB, 2nd

In 2003 beaten by some guys named Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler, in 2004 by that Ronnie guy again.

 ;)

Matt Duvall. Dude with the superman tattoo and did all the cell tech ads in the early 2000's. Finally turned pro, looked horrible, then fell off the map. Maybe it was the glasses?  He'd be "geek sheik" now.

Nearly all of those pics were shortly after he won the Canadian Nationals, where he looked great. If MuscleTech hadn't keep pushing that he'd compete at 325 lbs ripped, he would have stayed around the size he was in 1996, worked on his weak points ,and perhaps done better as a pro.

Rory Leidelmayer. Such hype. No pro.

Edgar Fletcher. Soulda, coulda, woulda.

Mike Ergas. Whatever happened to him?

JoJo Ntiforo. Perfect shape. Never bothered to diet.

Fauzi Hanst. Perfect shape. Never bothered to diet.

Erik Fromm. Could have been great. Killed himself instead, I think.

This is about living up to the hype, if you will. I don't recall any hype about Hanst, Ntiforo, or Ergas.
