Why don't they have a World Cup every year?  I normally hate soccer, but I actually watch the cup.  It would make soccer 1000x more popular with Americans.

Not sure, they could have at least given her some tits.

She's pretty hot even without the PS though.

Because there are different sporting competitions atleast once a year, the u17s, the European cub, Cupa america, etc. Plus the us has the mls, which is growing rapidly.

If you really care about soccer the Euros are every four years alternating with the World Cup, so there's a major competition every two years.

Some of the luster would definitely be taken off of it if they did it every year.

I actually enjoyed watching the Euros this year.  MLS is fucking gay.  We want to watch the stars of soccer not some third tier (Bay likey) players or has-beens.  That is why soccer isn't popular with most Americans.

I think logistically it would be almost impossible to have a World Cup every year. Like the Olympics. It also adds to the importance and stature of a competition if you only get a shot every four years. That's why some of these athletes totally lose it when they fuck it up - four years down the drain.

Also, a lot of people genuinely don't seem to want America to get seriously hooked on soccer as in the end the US would dominate it and probably win 90% of the matches.

London 2012: Olympic sex fest for Ryan Lochte

Ryan Lochte, America’s Olympic swimming star, reckons 75 per cent of athletes in the Olympic village will have sex with each other during London 2012, something he admits to being “excited” about.

Gold medallist Lochte, who is set for an epic Olympic showdown with rival record-breaking compatriot Michael Phelps tonight, says it was a mistake coming to the last Olympics as a taken man.

Lochte told ESPN magazine that 70 to 75 per cent of athletes in the Olympic Village will have sex with their fellow athletes during the London 2012 Games

"My last Olympics, I had a girlfriend. Big mistake," Lochte said. "Now I'm single, so London should be really good. I'm excited."

Confirming his playboy reputation is Lochte’s mum, who recently said "He goes out on one-night stands. He's not able to give fully to a relationship because he's always on the go."

Like many scantily clad Olympic swimmers, Lochte has an army of female fans who couldn’t give a toss about how many medals he wins.

The U.S. swimming poster boy knows how to cash in on his sex symbol status and has endorsements that including AT&T and Gillette, both of which require him to wander around in his budgie smugglers.

On the serious side, Lochte and Phelps compete against each other for the last time in the 200-meter individual medley tonight.

Just keep dominating the huge sports of American football, baseball and basketball and leave something for the rest of the world.  ::)
