well first of all i never said i had an "average" build. in fact i have always been quite solid built. I do a 3 or 5 day a week split and while i maybe do not lift as heavy as some here i think i am well above average. I was an army Boxer and have always been in shape. I was as a young guy very fast with my hands and so cought the attention of the Sgt maj training us. I am not fucking Rocky but i still never have backed down from a fight(in the Gym) although i am not the young man i once was i know i can still walk into any place and donīt get trouble. Itīs in the mind. You have to want to win and this is why i also like weight training because i have always liked the "pain"..the balls to do it. I was as a young soldier on my way to a bad start untill the Sgt maj(wonīt say his name on here) came into my room and said,"get your arse upstairs in the attic" where we trained under by todays standards under very primitive conditions. I still write to him among others on Facebooks and he was and is a man i still respect.

thx for posting that, so is that what you call balance of life, lol you train more often than i do.

those lifts are stronger than i could do natural, i have no problem admiting that.

what your average yearround bodyfat?

should be lean by despcription of that diet.

When I say balance,  I mean I keep my bodyfat at about 10%, but I make sure I eat well,  but do not weigh or measure food or results.  I do occasionally drop some bodyfat,  and only then do I measure food/macros.

I train hard for about a hour each session,  and get on with my life.  I don't concern myself with a little fat gain or strength gains, etc.

My physique and health is very important important to me,  but hardly worth ever stressing about.

This is a little hobby and lifestyle mixed into one.

Consistent hard training and decent diet is all that concerns me.

Squatting I rarely go past 315 and usually pre-exhaust before to keep it safer.

I never flat bench,  only dumbells.  I use 100-125's.

I work with 225-275 on incline bench,  but that is not often.

I know way too many people who have injured themselves benching. Not worth it to me to bench heavy.

I have been training over 10 years and know what works best for my body.

I never count reps and am an instinctive trainer.

This keeps training interesting and exciting for me.

I train 5-6 days a week and eat very well, although not perfect.

I make training and my physique a top priority,  but it is more a lifestyle for me and never gets in the way of what I want to do in life.

I hold myself accountable and never leave the gym feeling like I didn't give 100%

Funny thing is,  several years ago I used to train much heavier and was most likely stronger than I am now and was meticulous with diet.

Now,  I train smarter, lighter weight, less time in the gym, and nowhere near as strict with the diet, and my physique is 100 times better.

I feel strength means almost nothing with building muscle.

Everyone is different though.
