Hard to do a top five, but Hitler and Osman make the top ten. Well, Osman and his sons and grandson probably count as one, but did start a huge empire. I'd take Washington off the top five though.

The only one that mattered there was ceasar, the rest weren't worth remembering, as either there empires fell apart, or were only pegs in a bigger machine.

My list wasn't definite obviously.  Da Vinci, was another well rounded figure like Ben Franklin.

Hitler is a very prominent figure, but how many ancient tyrants killed just as many as Adolf?  Those were some fucked up times back then.

It's not about kill count, it's about changing the world as we know it, hitler single handedly change the conciousness of western civilization as we know it. Hard to think of others that sit in that lime light.
