Feeling bad about something and being constantly reminded about something so that you are shamed for it and made to feel bad are two seperate things.  Do I feel bad that blacks in this country were forced into labor as slaves, yes.  Do I personally feel bad/responsible, no I don't.  It's like if you cheated on your wife and she chose to forgive you and you said sorry, but then was always harping on you about it.  Did she really forgive you, no she didn't. They (German aggressors) have paid for their transgressions, and now are still being made to feel bad about it generations later.  Shit, we didn't even give blacks forty acres and a mule, yet we aren't always reminded about it.
