ND is desperately going through his old crusty bodybuilding mags to find a quote that can counter this one

It's a made up quote and you bought hook line and sinker. I called him out on and needless to say he never responded. All the debates we've had all the time since this was supposedly made and it's never been posted until 2 weeks ago with no source what so ever  seriously

In your desperation you needed anything to counter the multiple quotes from Ronnie saying he would never beat Dorian so you took this one on faith. Congrats you played yourself again.

but its all they can go on because the pics and vids clearly show how much better a peak ronnie was than dorian was at his peak.

Dorian Yates was asked on the 2000 Mr. Olympia DVD:

Mike Mattarazo: "Do you see anybody up there you can compare yourself to muscle mass and muscular density?"

Dorian Yates: "Incredible muscle mass. Obviously Ronnie Coleman, the new Mr. Olympia. I mean, the guy is incredible. Muscle size, great conditioning, and proportions."

This quote is from 2007 on Special Ed's internet radio show when he interviewed Ronnie at the end of his career

Special Ed : Ronnie if Dorian competed in 1998 would you have smoked him?

Ronnie Coleman : NO I think he would have kept on winning as long as he competed I don't think he would have lost.



And this one is from Flex magazine

Taken out of FLEX nov 1999, page 90.  interview by jim schmaltz with ronnie before the 99 Olympia.

Jim:  What would have happened last year if Dorian Yates (recently retired winner of 6 straight Mr. Olympias) had competed?


Ronnie:  Dorian would have won again.


Jim: You think so?


Ronnie:  I know so.  Dorian has a big physique - hard- and he's been the man to beat, and its hard to knock the champion off the block.  He's a big guy and has a lot going for him.

Who cares what you want? I know exactly Coleman said that on Special Ed's radio show because I was listening to it so were others on the board. So taken that into consideration it's safe to assume what he said in the magazine is accurate.

I have no doubt ronnie said dorian would win had he competed in 98.

why?

because ronnie can see as much as any of us that dorian looked like pure shit from 1994 on and they gave him the win anyway no matter how bad shawn nasser et al owned him..

its a direct commetary on the judging, something ronnie was never shy of doing (see GNC show of Strength and the Gunter fiasco)

the weiders wanted dynasties and thats what they created.

dorian could have shown up 345 pounds and fat and they probably still would have had him beat all the 1998 competitors.


had 99 ronnie stepped onstage in 1996/7, they still would have had dorian win..even though this is what would have happened:

Most epic, horrifying overpowering physique ever. I remember watching MR0 on PPV, and you "sensed" everyone else was just happy to be there, because it was obvious he was "numero Uno". Im talking his prime years.
