Maybe, but pissing of the president of the UFC is probably not a great career move either, when you are the first champion ever to turn down a fight, even on short notice, leading to an event being cancelled and big money lost leading to DANA labelling you "selfish" and "disgusting" you have pretty much assured that your career is over when you begin to lose.  The UFC doesn't need Jon Jones, but Jon Jones needs the UFC, I believe his decision was the worst career move any fighter could ever make, considering he probably could have beat Chael in about 30 seconds.

I respect Chael's character and approach in the Octagon.  He reminds me of the way Royce Gracie used to be in the original UFC's.  A true fighter isn't scared or worried about the lack of training involved for a particular fighter.

A true fighter is always ready to fight.

You are right about Chael. But I wonder if he was holding the title would his attitude change. It's easy to have that attitude when your looking up at someone else holding the belt. He even said on Rogan broadcast that most of his shit is made up.

And while we're at it...fuck Greg Jackson too...first chance he got he threw Rashad Evans under the bus to get Jones a title shot and now he plays a part in this fiasco?  Man...I sure do hope Machida kicks his ass.

Maybe, he did it once before even though Machida tagged him a time or two.  The worst thing an athlete can do is start believing the BS hype that surrounds them.  Jones seems to be heading  in that direction and is due..if not overdue..for an ass kicking.

Damn Dana was incensed. One thing thats for certain is that chaels stock rose pretty high with Lorenzo and Dana.
