breaking a plateau
« on: November 16, 2005, 08:48:49 PM »
I currently have been stuck at the same weight on my bench press for months and it isnt impressive to say the least.  Everyone tells me that it should be higher and it must be in my head.  Does anyone know how to break muscle memory or to overcome a plateau?

I agree with cavalier....change your routine up.  You can also stop flat benching for a month and try dumbells instead.  Then go back to the barbell....within a couple weeks it should go up....especially being a newbie...
