If the IFBB handbook was followed to the "T", Flex, Shawn, Kev, Chris, and even Nasser would all have a Sandow. Cutler would never have won, Ronnie would have won his 9th...John Sherman would have won more shows. Milos would have won some. And Mike Francois would have placed higher and or won shows. And Flex with is obvious synthol usage would have been DQ'd.Haney's torso outdistanced his arms...not by much, but he needed to "stimulate" his arms more.
haney owned that era ,,thicker sure bertil in some parts, vic richards lol legs and arms, luis freitas remember him, kawak large but big waist and all the symmetry guys demey, labrada, paris, bannout, only guy head to head but poor legs christian and someone from jersey u rooted for gaspari but poor structure could not get haney beat ,,haney's back and shape and x frame was great combo minus as said better arms,,91 was a great finish he was rock hard and had great leg's that yr...
A Mr. O who can pull a vacuum, when's the last time that has happened.
how big would you say his arms measured in contest condition?i'd put him at 18 or maybe 18.5 inches
At 250lbs? 19-20 probably
you think? arnold's arms in contest condition were just over 19 inches, metzer's were a tad over 18 and a half inches, and zane's arms were under 17 inches
look above, and look at vids---his massive torso makes his arms look small, and the lack of fullness or "hang" to his triceps.I think he "looked" better than Ronnie, if he had Ronnie's arms, Haney would be the best Mr. O of all time, bar none. His chest was huge, wide lats, small waist, good legs, and good calves.
Shakes headDo realise the size of the a is secondary to the shape its the shape of the arm primarily that makes them look big or small proportionately speaking
False. He had decent calves for a brother. Ronnie had subpar calves prior to enhancing them.
Haney was good for his time, and his record can't be argued with. Good bodybuilder, pleasing physique, and a great family man.But once Dorian came along, it was lights out, game over. Haney knew this and rightfully stepped aside.
Lowest quality post yet.
Haney was at his all time best in 1991 but I agree there's no way he could've beaten Yates a year later. Some people feel that Yates should've beaten Haney in 1991. I personally think it could've gone either way especially now when I watch the video of the show. Haney has the look of defeat on his face at the end.
