Shane O'Mac is in my top five. Guy had b@ll$ like a lion. He really put it out there for us. Really wish he didn't leave.

We can only speculate why he left. There were lots of rumors that Stephanie was quite difficult to work with and that the old man maybe played a bit of favorites with her. Maybe Shane felt even more outnumbered with Hunter added to the mix.

Or, maybe Shane saw a different kind of writing on the wall, realizing that it's unlikely that wrestling will ever again reach its previous heights, and decided to pursue other endeavors. The last I heard, it sounded like he was doing pretty well form himself with his cable company.

One era in wrestling that Timmy never really cared for was Bob Backlunds come back and his cross face chicken wing. It didn't even upset me like the show has always done. I think that Backlund and his cross face chicken wing was so bad that I couldn't waste a minute of my time watching it. Anything to do with the Sgt. Slaughter I change the channel straight away as well.

I just don't like the way Orton moves in the ring, and this clip showcases it perfectly. He looks very sissy-ish. I'd like to see him move with some authority instead of looking like he's prancing on eggshells.

Was just going to say this.  My beef with his clothes line (and this will be as nit picky as you can get) is he holds his arm out so straight with the palm facing the opponent.  Clothes lines (if you watch old NFL films) are done with palm down and a little more bend to the arm.

Yeah, it looks more like a mistimed bitch slap. Then, the way he waves his arms around while intermittently skipping across the ring... Roll Eyes
I don't know anything about the guy personally, but the fact that this character is one of their top talent right now is one of the reasons I can't get into the shows. Looking at their best, I'm not impressed.

You guys remember Masked Superstar's swinging neck breaker?  It was a cobra-clutch, but he would pick the other guy up and snap him around.....absolutely brutal looking.

That's because the man wearing the mask was brutal.

Busy is good, and I am well, thanks!
Also studying for my last round of boards. Cry

When I have a few minutes, I'll send you a few stories: one involving my buddy who went to school with Baron Scicluna's kid, and my own encounter with the legendary "Hurricane" Johnny Hunt inside of a bank.

I was always a big fan of Cousin Junior's mule kick.  lol.  The full nelson ala Hercules was pretty cool, but useless outside the ring unless your using it to throw somebody out of a bar.

The Bushwackers' Battery Ram,
Ox Baker's Heart Punch,
Shawn's Super Kick,
The Iron Claw as done by Crush Adams, Kerry Von Erich, etc. (Baron Von Raschke was the only guy who had any business doing that shit.)
The People's Elbow - corny, but a gimmick that served its purpose.

With enough time, I could rack up more.

I don't know, the Super Kick can be actually believeable at times, especially the way Shawn connected square on the chin.

Ox had to change his move to The Hurt Punch as he was about to get sued over the original Heart Punch name.  It could be believable depending on when it was delivered and the person selling it.

It's TWICE as devastating when done simultaneously.

Don't you know anything?

It couldn't possibly be TWICE as devastating when Robert Gibson never made contact with the victim.

Crush's kona krush
Kerry's claw
Masterlock
I always liked Valentines figure four but always thought Flairs was weak because I've never seen anyone submit to it.
3:16's stunner was only good because of the way people sold it.
Warriors splash was super weak as well.

Austin Idol had a dreaded figure four leg lock as well.  Flair's has always been weak.

What I hate about Orton is how in the ring he is in constant "Flying Superman" mode.  He will duck, stand up thrust his chin up and fists behind him like he is Superman taking flight.

Perfects standing drop kick is one of if not my favorite move of all time. Billy Gunn and Paul Roma both had killer SDK. Big fan of Shane O'Macs coast to coast as well.

My Top 3 SDK list would be :

1 - Paul Roma - really the only move he could do well and it was just beautiful.
2 - Hardcore Bob Holly
3 - Ziggler

Have to give Sting first place for the worst shittiest drop kick to ever be executed.  That and his little fucked up One Hand Hair Pull Running Bulldog was why I stopped watching him.

I never liked the "striking up the band" part; talk about the biggest telegraph.
As I've said, a blind and deaf opponent would know it's coming.

When Nick Bockwinkle used the figure-four, it often hurt him more than his opponent.

Sort of like Van Dammes frog splash.

Most moves off the top rope are like that: elbows, frog-splashes, diving headbuts, etc. Some of the worst I remember seeing were Dynamite Kid's knee-drop and Bret Hart's elbow off the middle turnbuckle. Both men completely wrecked their knees doing those moves over the years.

Worst I ever saw Van Damme over sell the splash was one match he used it on Sabu.  Jumped..... hit it....  bounced over and slid out of the ring to sell clutching his ribs on the floor.  Staggered up after a while, slowly crawled back in, inched over and pinned him.

I didn't know who was more stupid.  Rob for the oversell or Sabu for just agreeing to lay there that long.

Another finishing move so brutal that it must be banned today because no one else does it.....

Remember Shakaska Whatley (Pistol Pez's) famous "Butt Bump" or whatever he called it?   Throw them into the ropes, turn around, jump up so your butt hits them square in the face.... instant knock out.

I laugh at you guys "marking" over Flair's figure-four being "weak."  hahaha, I'm sure that had nothing to do with the angles, etc...  His execution and especially set-up moves for about 5 minutes prior, were always spot on.

I never had any issue with Flair.
But, seriously - watch some of Bockwinkle's old AWA matches sometime. It's a bit comical; even more so now after hearing guys comment on it years later. From what I understand, Nick encountered that issue with several holds.

To his credit, though Mr. Bockwinkle sounded like a very stand-up guy who always cared about and acted in the best interest of the business. He was very professional and straight as a grizzly's dick.
