Looks like one of those nice "frontier" states like Alaska. I hope to be in the general area and visit Glacier Park someday.

If your worried about people's "acceptance" the more middle of the country you go the more "good ole boys" it'll be. Go somewhere it doesn't snow like California, plus bodybuilding friendly :D. I personally think San Diego is the best city in California. If you want a cookie cutter answer here goes: if you want a faster life move to So cal, if you want a more normal life move to No cal. If your rich move to la jolla (i like it better than newport). If your gay move to SF. If you like it wide open and nature move to Sacramento or further north. California's huge take a few trips and feel it out.

Big plus football(nfl)comes on at 10am on Sunday's, and you will always be able to catch your futball(soccer)at a bar when there's games ;). Nobody cares about race there either you being from Italy wouldn't be an issue like it could be in other statesOh yeah one more thing it's always sunny and only rains in jan and feb

you really think this can be an issue?
I mean: I like to joke here about the greasy italian but honestly I would be surprised if this will turn out to be true.

DO NOT move to California. Their economy is collapsing and the state is going bankrupt. Plenty of other places in the country with a stronger economy and nice weather. Although most Californians will never admit it, lol.

Which are the cons in your opinion?

I think of getting there for the beauty of nature, for tranquility, look for an outdoor job.

My concern is about people acceptance towards someone which comes from outside US, and also because many italian have a bad rep abroad, sadly.
You're from italy?  They're more likely to look down on you in Wyoming if you're from California or Texas.

Wyoming is notorious for having brutal winters and extremely high wind speeds. Once that current catches you on that icy road there is basically nothing you can do to stop it.

Sorry, but after living in California, I would NEVER move there. Especially with the whole state going bankrupt now. Only positivie thing Cali has is weather and women, which you can find many other places that don't involve dealing with Cali's shitty monetary policies, politics or pretentious people.

Sounds like you lost your job and had to crawl back to mommy and daddy. "only positive is weather and women" your right I'd  much rather be surrounded by rhinos in a snow storm

A. Not from Wisconsin.
B. I lived in Oceanside at Camp Pendleton, so I didn't have to deal with worrying about a job. California is a beautiful state, but its going bankrupt faster than any other state in the Country.

I live in Washington (which I also hate), and the amount of Californians fleeing from your state to come here is outrageous. Guess thats what happens when your cities are all going bankrupt.

Not to mention that if you've ever paid taxes in California and then moved out of state, they try and chase you down and get more tax money from you, even though you don't live there anymore. For some reason they believe that even if you're no longer living/working in Cali, you still owe them a chunk of your check.

The whole country's going bankrupt, and technically I think IL is the worst. I read they were six months behind on their bills. What state do you like?

Texas was pretty good when I lived there. I've only lived in 3 states, Wa, Ca, and Tx, and Tx was by far the best for me. Although the humidity was a fucking killer in the summer.

I'll be the 1st to admit it! IF an earthquake would take Santa Barbara and San Francisco it would go a long way to improving things.

That's a good question; I would like a good place for retirement, where my money can be enough to make a good living (buying a house and some fields around it).
I would also like to find nice people (not hostile because I'm not from there) and a great place for staying outdoor.
