The old dude was a famous powerlifter by the name of Roy Mason, I believe. He got into it late in life, and was a long haul truck driver and preacher, he use to give sermons while he lifted.

WTF???  A few things:

1.  Was that 400+ lbs that old man lifted?
2.  Wes never told us that he competed in power lifting.

Just one more thing, in 1986, he was 68, so I'm guessing he was in his 70's when this was taken.

That's correct, As well, one doesn't have to be big or young to be a bodybuilder, either.

Thinnest powerlifter i ever saw. But i dont know much about pl. Did he lift as much as younger and bigger pls?
